Quote from: DERIDEX120 on November 21, 2021, 06:13:45 pmThank you both. I actually found EVSP had a feature that layed all of that out. It was immensely helpful. That mini guide in your link will be too. Thanks, Sorry to bother
Quote from: DERIDEX120 on November 21, 2021, 11:57:44 amHey, sorry its taken me so long to respond here, been caught up with IRL stuff, anyways, is there any quick reference guide to understanding the variables in this scripting language? let me cite an example.
Ive started with analyzing various script commands like addunit and display message. This is taken from "dorter 2."
I'm pretty sure x0009/x0007 is the actual message located at the bottom of the event, but I cannot determine the value of the other variables. I'm thinking one of them (either directly before or after the message number) must be the unit ID to assign the portrait for the speech bubble, but then what are the others?
as far as understanding addunit, I've analyzed the military academy script:
This is the part where the female knight (87) walks in, shrugs her shoulders and walks out.
what exactly is warpunit used for? I'm trying to understand the coding by which characters enter/leave the map.
Quote from: Alaswing on November 12, 2021, 05:55:36 pmThis is amazing, i started to use this and it is awesome, i just have some questions, i noted the dificulty is somewhat harder, is it true or is just me, and another thing i do not know if it is normal, but I have noticed that my own troops in order to attack as many enemies as possible attack my troops without thinking, for example Agrias as a guest attacked ramza to be able to attack 2 Wizards one on the left and the other On the right of ramza, I remember that they used to avoid this in the original game, usually attacking only one or only when they knew that he would not die, however on this occasion Agrias killed Ramza and it also happened with a Wizard who attacked 2 of my troops in order to attack a single enemy troop.
Quote from: Filil on November 06, 2021, 10:27:38 pmThis mod is awesome! Congratulations!
I just finished it 2 times ( NG+) and i got a bug going since the first playtrough... I only can get 46 Artifacts out of 47... Both cleared game i did everything twice and still couldn't get the 500CP Prize for all treasures.
But as a LOM player and Disgaea player too, the end game features are AMAZING!
Such a genius all of you are!
Quote from: Jordan95 on November 01, 2021, 01:06:21 amI just got to the end of the game and decided to do NG+. After doing so I noticed that all of my items (except ones equipped) were gone.
Luckily I made a save beforehand, so I just loaded it back up and equipped all my rarest items that I could so I could keep them, but of course I had to pick some to leave behind.
I assume this was intentional, but are there any plans to change this so we can keep all of our items?
Quote from: Mr. Misplays on October 18, 2021, 04:19:03 amPressing Select to bring up the help menu during certain segments of the sound novels can lock the game's controls after returning to the Brave Story.
The sound effect will play as if a help menu was brought up, but no message appears nor does the game pause for it. After exiting the novel, the Brave Story menu turns dark blue as if the game thinks that a help message is currently being displayed.
At this point the only thing you can do is replay the novel you're currently on, but the Select button becomes disabled for all future playthroughs. You can also back out of the screen that allows you to play the novel, but that will lock the player in place like shown in the picture and the only way out is to reset the game.
For Diary of Nanai, this can happen when pressing Select during Nanai Valencia's segment at the beginning as well as the very last page of text in the ending.
For Wyuvle, this can happen in a lot of pages, most notably during the true ending. Most common factors of this bug occurring in this novel are during pages with giant walls of text and where the tabs for the Square button to scroll and the Start button to pause on the bottom corners don't display.
I've found no issues currently with the M-Fiction Novel.
This was done on 2.021 using pSX and Duckstation. The only ASM applied was Xifanie's smart encounters.
Quote from: Amici on October 15, 2021, 07:41:55 pmHi there, I'm trying to build my own ISO of TLW 2.021 (to put in my own edits of Ramza's skills). According to the tutorial, by using Shishi 0.493 B7, there should be no need to expand the ISO.
However, when I tried to insert Bremondt's sprite (Sprite>Import BMP...), I am met with this error:
What am I doing wrong? I am using a BIN/CUE of FFT (with file size 541 315 152 bytes). I used the ShishiSpriteEditor.exe in /6. TLW ASM (Patch Last)/ASM (FFTP .493 B7)/. I was able to properly insert Aliste's sprite, then changed both SHP and SEQ to TYPE1. I proceeded with 3B - Bremondt Type 2.bmp, then I got the above-mentioned error.
Also, according to the instructions here: https://i.imgur.com/o12AYZy.jpg
I should use FFTPatcher 492 to patch only DATA xml. And yet, the included folder in the Resources download are only version 493 B7 and 482. The exact folder name inside the The Lion War 2.021 Resources.7z I downloaded is /6. TLW ASM (Patch Last)/DATA (FFTP .482)/. Is this just a typo? Apologies for being "neurotic" about the instructions, I am trying to follow the instructions to the letter but I am confused by some of the inconsistencies and errors I have encountered, since there's no mention of this in the tutorial.
Quote from: DERIDEX120 on October 14, 2021, 06:18:58 pmSlot 0165- the first blank slot just after "parasite." Weapon strike is un-checked. looking at it, physical and magic attack boxes are also unchecked. I compared to the archer's charge abilities as thats the only set I can recall that uses the squatting sprite, but they seem to be coded differently. I'm beginning to think I'll have to settle for the punching effect or the raised arms sprite used by spells.
Quote from: nitwit on October 04, 2021, 05:21:38 amMy PSP seems to dedicate an entire virtual memory card to each game, how would that work with mods of the same game? Save in different slots and don't get confused (unless you want to have an impromptu randomization session)?
Quote from: Virgo on October 10, 2021, 07:22:57 amThe config files in the EasyVent Editor 2.1 is outdated. So, though it works fine with vanilla, you won't be able to properly decompile and compile events in TLW that uses upgraded instructions from Xifanie. Before it's updated, this problem can be solved by replacing 2 CONFIG.INI files in EasyVent folders with the one from this archive https://ffhacktics.com/wiki/File:Event_Instructions_Upgrade_v1.371.zip and deleting Event Instruction List folder in EasyVent Editor/Resources/Source Files.
Quote from: Krisbr99 on October 07, 2021, 02:04:35 amcould someone please explain to me what is the difference between these two versions that are available for download
2.02 and 2.021?
Quote from: Virgo on October 04, 2021, 08:53:17 amSo, TLWotL will be the same as TLW, the only difference is zodiac calendar and psp translation?
