Might I be so bold as to offer forth an inquiry pertaining to the difference among those individuals known as "furries," "bronies" and "equestria girls?" I must admit I find myself in a quandary as the subject vexes me so very utterly.

Furries = Unusual interest in animals, particularly anthropomorphism. Different than, say, being a fan of loony toons, in that they carry an interest in the concept of anthropomorphism itself rather than any particular show or character. Tend to have an animal avatar, or "fursona."
Bronies = Fan of the latest my little pony cartoon, not (necessarily) the semi-anthropomorphism displayed therein. Tend to have original ponies based on themselves, or a "ponysona" or "OC pony."
Equestria girls = Reference to a commercial. Female fans are often also referred to as just "bronies" or sometimes "pegasisters," if that's what you're asking.
