Help! / Re: Help with the ARH
August 28, 2010, 01:04:47 pm
I'm very sorry for double-posting but I really need to know this.

I am quite unsure what I am suppose to do to patch the ARH to the game.

It says this:

"First of all you need to patch the Jumps AND Require Sword. Paste the data in BATTLE.BIN/SCUS_942.21 and you will be done with that part. When you are done messing with the spreadsheet, paste "Data Table" in BATTLE.BIN and you will be all set. This will also be the only thing you will have to update when you want to edit your Ability Requirements. Only paste into memory/quicksave if you know what you're doing."

Does that mean I take the two Jumps and paste it onto the next cell over? And when I am completely finished with the Abilities and such into the next cell over as well?

If that is the case how does it actually go to my SCUS_942.21 or BATTLE.BIN?

Forgive me for asking such bothersome questions but I genuinely don't know what to do here.

Thanks. Um... I do have a request that would follow your pattern so far (what with the generic Black mages, white mages and samurai) could you make a set of new generic thieves? I know I for one never really cared much for the way the male and female thieves looked. Especially the female one...I thought that one was just plain...ugly that and the female monk so I used Melodia for the female monk and it actually works pretty well that way but anywho, would you consider doing thieves next?

I do sprite, but my abilities lie mainly in the 2d department like Final Fantasy VI kind of stuff in fact if you go to Zeemis' website you can actually see quite a few of my sprites.

Hmm... they are okay but for some reason I feel that you could make even better ones. That and one of them is missing a portrait... but mainly the first reason.

Um...the male Warlock doesn't even have a portrait... otherwise I would use them... :(

Lijj could I make a request of you? I realize this really isn't the place to do it and you may be too busy to even bother with it but could you make generic sage sprites? Based off your Generic Black and White mages I believe you could make an extremely good male and female sage and to be quite honest I think you would be best suited for it. Please consider it.

sorry to necro this; what if I were to change the sprite sheets for some characters like these units here:
34-38
They are Female Chemist, Female Priest, Male Wizard, Male Oracle, and finally Male Squire. I then assigned those sprites jobs which are the job numbers: 35-39 which are given the skillsets 4D- 52. If I assign them to a battle as a guest and also have them join you after the battle, would this work out? Or would I have to replace already existing unique characters like Balmafula?

FFT Remix / Re: Ovelia or Agrias

Are you going to keep the name of her skills in Final Fantasy IX? Her skillset would then be called Seiken and if that was the case, would you be giving her the abilities she had (at least those similar to it) as well as the med-high level White Magic and good swordskills?  To be technical Beatrix was a very good version of a Paladin (sorry Cecil... you suck as a Paladin), Holy Knight, not so much.

Help! / Events
April 28, 2010, 01:46:12 am
Hello everyone I am a new hacker/modifier of Final Fantasy Tactics (was hacking Final Fantasy 6 before) and I was wondering about one small thing:

I have just recently made six new unique characters with six new skillsets and all (thanks to the sprites provided here I have also changed jobs around and am only waiting for the female version of the scholar to be complete). I had them replace the Male Squire sets that ranged from 57-5B. The question I have is this; is there a way besides just editing them into a battle and joining you afterwords to get them in your party? To elaborate this is something similar to what I want to do for these characters:

For Beatrix:

I want to basically do something similar to the whole Beowulf side quest and get her after hearing a rumor of some sort. Then by going to a certain place afterwords I would find Beatrix completely surrounded where she notices the party and requests their help. After the battle (if possible) I would want her to formally offer her services to the party to pay back the debt she owes (her being a virtuous knight and all).

In other words I want to have my unique characters have some dialogue to give them more personality and make it more meaningful to actually attain them. Considering the people I'm putting in are: Beatrix, Terra, Aerith, Alucard, Balthier and Vicks (using the sprite for FFT: Remix).

Any and all help is very much appreciated.

I realize it has only been a couple of days since the post mentioning the female version of the scholar but- Have you decided on a look for her? I'm really interested in the scholar sprites.

Basing the scholar feel off of the male version what about making the female scholar something like a younger less heavily clad calculator? Rather than having such heavy robes, have her wear something more along the lines of a two piece dress, the bottom being a long skirt (similar to the Dancer's skirt) and the top being a long sleeved hooded shirt with a large book strapped to her back.

Then again I'm just spouting off ideas. But I hope to see a female scholar in the near future! ^-^

Help! / Re: Patching
April 25, 2010, 12:09:57 am
Thank you, I was actually about to post that I discovered how to do it. I would also like to inform you (and the mods specifically) that the only patches that allow you to download them are Mercenaries and FFT v 1.3. I don't know why but every time I attempt to download the other patches a message comes up that says that I do not have permission to access the file. Do you know why it is doing that?

Help! / Patching

I didn't find a thread for this and since I'm quite new to Final Fantasy Tactics hacking, how do I patch the patches on the home page to my final fantasy tactics game? I'm sorry to be any trouble.
