It is?! Well there is another game in the franchise I'm not touching.

Anyways, beat Persona 4 a week or so ago.  It was going along so well to combine many old school elements into a newschool modern setting.

UNTIL!

They pulled the "oh, I'm not the real bad guy, the real bad guy is someone who's been present in this 60-hour game for about 5 seconds up to this point, but he's really the evil super mastermind, so kill him now.

It's like Scooby Doo meets Super Mario Bros.

So I re-installed my old Wizardry:Gold (Crusaders of the Dark Savant, for you purists out there!) CD and am taking another crack it.  It's been years since I played the game (and even then put it down like... halfway through).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizardry_V ... ark_Savant

Going for a sweet composite party.  At around level 10 or so all the front liners and back rowers will swap into each other's jobs.  It'll kill their base stats but their skills will more than make up the difference.  Rolling up the characters was a pain, though.  I needed 18+ all around :'(

What do you mean? The real killer is all over this game. The scapegoat is the one who was there for 5 seconds before hand. Namatame was only interactive for about the first cut-scene unless you ran into him in town. Then he was just spouting gibberish.

Unless.......this leads me to believe you got the bad ending. Who was the last boss you fought?

That's they way I kinda felt about FFVIII.  "The Sorceress Edea is the bad guy." [Two discs later] "Wait, no... Sorceress Adel is the bad guy..." [One disc later] "Wait, no... who the hell is Sorceress Ultimecia?  She was manipulating everything from the beginning, but is just now mentioned? SHE'S THE BAD GUY?

Would make perfect sense if Adachi wasn't there the whole time. I don't know about you but I suspected him from the very beginning. That and he is in every cut scene you have with the police, and every other scene at the secret headquarters. Namatame is what through me for a loop.

Anyway, playing an SMT game you kind of see these things coming. That handshake in the beginning was perfect though. It makes you think "WHAT THE FUCK" at the time, then you forget about it until much later. They could have worked it out better but it is not a bad plot twist. Without it you would actually have the plot hole of "where did Protagonist, Adachi, and Namatane get their powers". Along with where Ameno-Sagiri came from.

That handshake was just a handshake.  I didn't think anything of it, tbh.  The plot hole could've easily been fixed when Adachi got clobbered with a simple non-combative evil spirit dying via cutscene or in some lame change of heart "ok I'll walk away now" type deal.  Just seemed kind of excessive to have ANOTHER final dungeon and boss.

That and I blew most of my somas on adachi because I thought he was the last guy.  prick.

Well that sucks. I did not blow all off my somas as I had one left after the battle.

But that is the only handshake in the game that vibrates your controller so it is more than "just" a handshake.

Just finished Silent Hill 2. All I have to say right now is damn that was easily a top five best game ever.

Finished in 7 hours 59 minutes and 55 seconds with a near perfect score and from what Koizumi told me, the best ending in the game.

FFIV DS remake with PAR/Codebreaker

what can i say, i've always loved ff4 and ff6.

and i love what they have done in this remake.
the story is exactly the same tho, im not missing anything by using codes...

the augment system they added combined with the right game shark codes allows me to have an FFV style job system (tho the characters develope in specific ways) poor edge, getting the boot from the final party to Edward, of all people, but with white and black magic instead of hide and salve lol.

I recently finished DQVIII and now I am enjoying the hell out of VII.

Man this series kicks all sorts of ass.

Also facing down the elite four in Pokemon Platinum on DS, been slowly picking away at that game for a while now when not working on Dragon Quest.

I bought a PS3 Recently, and have pretty much just been grinding my way through CoD4 , which before that I was grinding my way through CoD WaW on Wii(Which is amazingly fun if you get a chance to try it).

I want to keep playing FFT, but I refuse to stop playing 1.3 because it is hard, and I just can't seem to beat Weigraf... damn archers...

Yeah... no Nazi zombie on wii... It sucks, as Nazi zombie on Wii would be beyond amazing, but The multiplayer is still fun. Trust me... when you can just hold your hand steady to snipe instead of using a stick, and you just line up that headshot on some n00b who then gets owned in the face... IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
