I was really disappointed at how obvious they made the "dark side" thing. I knew it before they told me, I mean, come on! Mewt Randell? Llednar Tewm? Too easy.

I agree with that. It was easy but the name Llednar has POWER

Sadly, he should have been tougher, killed him in only a few hits.

I have that under the requests section, he is (to me at least) the coolest final fantasy character (maybe character in general) to have ever been made.

Prepare to get bashed!

Cloud is the COOLEST Final Fantasy Character! Then it is Sephiroth!

I used to like sephiroth, but my cousin gave some reasons why he probably shouldn't be liked.

Cloud...well if you like oddly oversized butcher knives, than you can have him.

Been there seen it.  riding on a bicycle fighting odd puppy dogs, then full grown adults whining for their mother doesn't make it cool.

I'm with BB.

Quite possibly the best CG'ed movie I've ever seen. And the game was awesome. Wish they'd do a remake.

Square teases people like nuts. a cut out in the crisis core read "expect more ff7 form us soon... very soon..."

and then 3 months later they announce they are dropping all ff7 related projects, including any future plans for an ff7 remake.

of course, 2 months before crisis core was released they also said that after crisis core there would be nothing.

which makes us wonder what the cut out was for? a joke? a tease?

more than likely its something they forgot to remove, out of lazyness.

If anything ff7 is the most deserving of a remake. not because it was a good game. in fact it was pretty awful in FF standards. the story was so garbeled. it deserves to be redone. not retranslated, as it was properly translated...the script just wasnt that good, even in japanese.

the graphics deserve an update, cause the FF right after 7, 8, raped ff7s graphics entirely.

And you guys wait on flaming me for saying "ff7 was awful"...i am writing a text document and will post everything it has on why i think ff7 was awful and why it only did a few things right.

Also, FF Advent children was "OK". better than alot of CG movies. but not the best. it had as many plot holes as the original ff7 did. and the dialogue was pretty sloppy at that. only thing good was the smoothness of the motorcycle textures and the action on some fight scenes. that took talent. anyone can do humans, or panthers, or summons. it took a true genius to make a motorcycle stand out like that.

I think most people understand that by now that it was a crappy game.

The only argument Asmo gave was that the Lifestream drove the game and that it was so obscure, no one knew what it was, even though it was very well explained in the scene in Bugenhagen's hologram thing.

...it gets default points for being one of the first RPGs that I played.

I don't think it was made for story or anything, I think it was made for the pure effect of explosiveness.

We have amazingly insane out-of-this-world sort of places, an evil orginization that rules the world in a huge tower looming over a large two-tier eight district city, two characters whom are talking cats (more or less), helicopters, an insane dude with long hair and a black dress and a way too long sword destroying the world for his mother, a dude wearing a purple suit with blonde oddly spikey hair and a sword resembling a giant butcher knife, a submarine, an insane scientist who transformed into a questionable monster for no obvious reason, a gun wielding sociopath (whom needs a cellphone) whom lived in a coffin for a few years, a strange thief whom calls herself a ninja and justifies it with an overly large shuriken, and so much more.

The game was made for surreal effect rather than practical effect, methinks.
