He'll be better before we know it. But in the mean time, I hope all goes well for him.

I'm not going to lie to you, I've only listened to Lateralus, 10,000 days, Aenema, and a bit of Undertow.

In my opinion, there really isn't a bad Tool song (Though I can go without a few select portions of albums.

I just got my Sublime tickets an hour ago, I really can't wait to see them. I'm picking up some stuff which won the Cannabis Cup two years ago. Great times.

I'm currently too lazy to upload links to particular songs, but I will give you all a small view of my eclectic music tastes. I enjoy everything from metal/rock/underground rap/electronica/experimental/ so on and so forth.

My favorite song is by the band Ratatat, it is called 'Nostrand', I will link this song, despite me just typing that I wasn't. It is a song about birth, life, and death.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kVtGCACwpW8&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kVtGCACwpW8&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"; type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Other songs by these guys I would recommend would be: Seventeen Years, Loud Pipes, Kennedy, Drugs, Bob Ghandi, Wildcat

Someone mentioned Infected Mushroom earlier, I seen them a few months ago and came myself when they played Heavy Weight. Shakakaw is another favorite.

Blackalicious has smooth beats and original lyrics, it is rap how it should have been and not some mainstream thoughtless "music" like you hear spammed on the radio. Check out their songs Make You Feel That Way (Actually, that whole album is flawless, Blazing Arrow is the album name), The Craft, Making Progress, Side to Side.

On the note of underground, Deltron 3030 (you Gorillaz fans should be familiar with this guy, aka Del The Funky Homosapien) is almost as good. Listen to ' Virus' or 'Master Mind' for starters

I'm feeling really tired right about now, so let me cut to the chase

Castlevania SotN soundtrack
Daft Punk - Discovery & Human After All albums
Dayroom - Cheap Wine
Electric 6 - Synthesizer, Infected Girls, I Buy The Drugs, Improper Dancing
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots (whole album)
Gorillaz - With the exception of all but three songs on their D-Sides album... everything!
Jet Set Radio (Future) - a good mix of a bit of everything
Jurassic 5
Marilyn Manson - Disposable Teens, The Dope Show, Redeemer
Matchbox 20 - Anything from 'yourself or someone like you'
Modest Mouse - Dashboard, Florida, Fire it Up
Muse - Take a Bow, Map of the Problematique, Supermassive Black Hole
The Pillows - FLCL soundtrack
Pixies - Debaser, Here Comes Your Man, No. 13 Baby
Sublime - Sublime album, Date Rape, 2 joints, Let's Get Stoned, 40 oz to Freedom, Badfish, Krs-One, Right Back (I'm seeing these guys this friday, I'm really stoked, even though it isn't even Bradley Nowell)
Tool - Lateralus (The Holy Gift order, completely changes the whole experience), H, Aenema, 46 and 2, Stinkfist, The Pot, Wings for Marie (pt1)
Ween - The Argus

goodnight guys, more to come later

Did anyone else like him?

He was my favorite character, despite how little of a role he had in the game.

If she is going to cause you grief, then does that mean she really loves you?

Don't participate with what will make you unhappy. All we have in life is life and nothing more, we should spend it doing something that makes us happy, 'cause in the end you have nothing. We all are buried in the same ground when it comes down to it, so spend what time you have doing something you enjoy.

Relationships may cause temporary happiness, but it is a two-sided ninja sword, it hits hard in joy and it will hit hard in sadness.

How do you feel about God Forbid?

I was listening to them last year, but I lost all their music when I forgot to back up my files before reformatting...

Also, is anyone familiar with the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice? Well, there is this one band named Theater Les Vampires after the theater that Lestat purchased... their older music sounds pretty bad ass, but their new stuff reminds me of Nightwish :(

[edit]

You know what I mean by that band, I didn't realize that doG backwards would automatically change  to 'St. Ajora'.

Depression comes and goes. I'm feeling much better now. It was more so from the stress of debt and some ex drama.

I can enjoy most of any Fire Emblem's music (RPG? Strategy? RPG/Strategy?)

Also Voldemort has gotten me re-hooked on Shoji Meguro's music from Digital Devil Saga.

And don't bash me for liking this bastard born Final Fantasy game's music.. but I acutally like the battle music for Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest

I also liked Antidote (in the snow? not quite sure on the complete title's name) and Under the Stars from our beloved FFT (again... strategy/RPG?)

I remember thinking back in the day how FF7's boss music was the shit... not so much my opinion anymore.

How does people feel about Ratatat? It's not quite Techno, but it is electro-funk.

My personal favorite song of all time by them: Nostrand : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6kxExi5wSs

Another good one: Kennedy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GooXFwD3ZTE

And probably their most popular song: Wildcat : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1H7vZYBeHc

And another favorite band, hence my name, is Daft Punk. How does people feel about those guys?

Emo? Nah, I keep my hair out of my face (isn't the reason why emo kids cover half their face with their hair is so that the would would look half bad?  :)

Quote from: "bastardpoetry"Bumping for DaftOtter.

Here it is, the topic of metal goodness!

Thanks for the bump, and sorry for taking so long to reply, I was not sober last night and didn't feel like reading so much ^^;

I think pretty much anything that was on my mind has been said already.

About five years ago, I got my sister into Cradle of Filth as some of you have gotten your siblings into our music. After she passed away, my mom and I had to fight for the Cradle of Filth shirts that she had (my mom likes them almost as much as I do, hell she's even gone with me to see them my first time going).

I don't know if you guys would consider Korn to be 'metal' but I remember when they were good, now it sounds as though they have Leukemia or something, and I think it is starting to effect Cradle of Filth (as mentioned), the last CD I was able to thoroughly enjoy was Nymphetamine. Thornography had a few songs that I liked, and the latest album I just couldn't get into (with the exception of the song 'The 13th Cesar'). I mean, I tried... but it just isn't the Cradle I remember.

On a side note about this band, have you ever heard of Sara Jezebel Deva's band Angtoria? They're not the best (However, I do like them more than old Nightwish), but I liked the album they released, here is their biggest song on the album:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olFchpRcgao

I have always loved her voice, and she really does a good job on the vocals.

I know people say that they don't listen to metal for the screaming, but I think it gives the genre its own charm, and it adds that much flare when you too are screaming/moshing/body surfing. But also as mentioned, the lyrics are intelligent... I mean, c'mon, who else have you heard use words like 'inquisitive' 'bastion' 'monastic' and 'exhuming'? You better believe that people like Kanye West probably has never heard these words (and what the hell was up with him mutilating Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk, that was a travesty, but that is for a different topic).

Also, not too many people may know this but I find moshing to be a form of stress relief, after the show I went to this past weekend, it got me out of a state of depression (not emo, but legitimate depression). Nothing feels better than getting a bloody nose while screaming at the top of your lungs.

If you all have a hard time finding various good Metal music like I do, I find an easy means as to doing so by listening to Pandora, they know what to do (again, another topic).

Um.. I don't think anything else comes to mind at the current moment, I'll probably have more input with more replies or probably within an hour >.>;

Here's a pic of me outside of a show a while back...
