ePSXe Configuration

As im having so much fun with the 1.3 Patch im going to share my perfectly working ePSXe configuration as a small contribution, its not so much but for some people it could be really useful, some weird tweaks are required to get FFT working nicely with it.

Computer Specs
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Intel Quad Core Q9450
2GB DDR3 Corsair
EVGA GeForce 9800GTX+ 512MB (aka GTS250)

That's is, run the game from the ISO (recommended) its faster that way than running it directly from the CD, if you have only the CD then you can make your own ISO/IMG

Also, im using ShadX's Natural Vision Shader (Modded by SimoneT) it makes the game look AWESOME

I can't remember how the original actually looked, but was it so bubbly smooth like you have it or is that a custom way you want to view the game? Also, how do you get the reed flute noise to actually play? When Delita and Ramza play it I don't hear any sound effect, but when Ovelia plays the reed I hear noise. Whats up with that. I think I might try your configuration...

Actually i use high res textures with 2xSal that quite smooths all the screen and Natural shader does the rest. And yes, i can get the sound properly working on the escene when Delita and Ramza play the flute together. The trick would be actually to use a FPS limit in order to let the audio sync with the video.

Ah, right right, like with Metal Gear Solid, I remember now about the sound. I only use ePSXe for PS1 games; I believe its the best. One problem with your configuration (which isn't anything major) is that the lettering gets messed up a bit. Then again, the lettering for FFT was always a bit weird, so it doesn't matter either way. Nice post!

I dislike those filters

your text in the menus looks distorted as hell

and the sprites look like they had watercolor thrown on them

no sharpness

Speaking of water color, the game does look a bit like Saga Frontier 2 for some reason...
