Hi This Is My original Character Lenna Clach, She Is a Crossbowman/Knife User That I made a LONG Time Ago, And Im getting aroud to spriting her, Here is my work this far. (Based off of the Generic Cavelier Male and Some other sprite which I cant recall... (The Only Reason I remember the Generic Cavelier male is thats what the main sprite is based on.) Anyway I would like your opinion on the  portrait, Or your minor edits to make it better. Also I would like to preserve the slightly sarcastic look it has :D

Leave Any comments you may have.

Interesting portrait. Few things though; her right eye seems a pixel or two smaller. Her back hair shape is bit funny. Her outfit is kinda messy, the whites especially. Face shading is okay but some touch ups below her chin (shadow). And maybe add another vertical line for her neck. Seems bit thin. Also, her front hair need some touch ups too. Kinda messy. The dark greens are very identical. Try change that and if possible, add another light colour for highlights on her top hair, perhaps.

Good luck.
Kindly upload the images to other image hosting sites. I can't view imageshack. Thanks.

VampragonLord

face is too far left, no actual issue but it would look odd compared to most fft characters

I'm not the best in portraits, but do what Jimmy said and it will look better.

Okay I moved the Head dover a bit, But the Eye I didn't change, leaving the look like she's raising her eyebrow or a face like o.O Anyway. I think I tidied it up pretty good ^^

Anatomy first, then others..
Review the anatomy for the shoulders, hair and neck. :)
Right now, they don't fit too well making her look weird.

Ive Got the 5 "Base" Frames satisfactory, more tips would be appreciated, as this is my first spriting attempt.

For the sprite, her right eye (our left) on the forward facing frame is just a black line. Either cover it with her hair or take an existing eye and base it off that. For the portrait, the angle her head is at doesn't seem to physically match the angle her neck, body, or hair are at. Also, the hair looks too puffy for the face (but that's likely because of the angle of the face). You're also going to need to open up the palette some more. You have a handful of shades that could be combined. After combining them you can use those empty slots for more skin shades, cause right now her face could use some more depth.

Good luck, welcome to the board.

post the sprites in bigger size. I would like to help you with this, but I have mine sprites. I jst wanna ask, where did you get thi hair? You copy/psted it, or custom made it?

Heres An enlarged version of the sprites.

And Im Getting the hair from the dancer with some edits.

Then I advise copying her hair again for those first two poses and not editing it much.

Hmm, looks like a cross of the 3 Pegasus sisters, Florina, Fiora and Farina from FE. For the portrait try to get the head centered, so move this current one over aproximetely 4-6 (maybe 8 ) pixels to the right. Okay, as for the sprite poses I see lots of mistakes that can be easily fixed, almost all of them are in the hair. The 2 poses where she is facing away seem to be okay, but the others you might wanna redo. Also, the forward facing frame has a really strange looking face and neck, fix that too. Right now though, the biggest of all is of course the side-forward facing frame, the hair looks totally bad, no offense. When you base something off of another character (here the Dancer) try to change the shading/highlights in the hair as little as possible. Hmm, I think though that this could become quite a decent sprite. Bow/knife user? Naaaa, more like a Sword/Katana/Spear user :) After all she is a knight looking type, right? We need more Katana users anyways...
There ain't no gettin' offa this train we on!
