To whoever is planning on making the Sydney sprite: I strongly suggest using Luiakyn's version, just make sure to change out the eyes with something a little fiercer.

Hmm Amarant's head seems hard indeed, the only head that comes close to his hairstyle at all is Tamera, but thats only in volume.  The Ashley Riot sprite's body looks like it would work beautifully as a base for Amarant's body, though.

EDIT: I always wished they had used Amano's original artwork of Amarant for his final design.

Hmm...Amarant...Yeah, I don't think there's any other heads that are suitable than Tamera. You'll have to custom make his hair, unfortunately. Yes, I think Ashley Riot is perfect for Amarant's base.

Kage, just to help you a little bit, here's Steiner's five basic frames. I'm working on Vivi's five basic frames now and I'll then try on Freya.

That Steiner is looking really great Jimmy. Something could be done about the shading in the belly and back areas, in the front and back view respectively. It looks kinda plain.. like not shaded

Problem with finishing this sprite is custom everything, especially his armor =.=
It's going to take long time to finish this. Haha. Vivi is much easier.

EDIT: Alright, I've finished the five basic frames of Vivi.
Here he is. Though I'm not really satisfied with the side frame. The hat seems to be odd. Hmm...

I'm really loving Vivi and Steiner is very impressive as well. The hat on Vivi's front view is looking a bit wonky. The side view is a bit odd but I think it is fine.

Well, for Vivi's front view, its because I removed a line of the hat from Elidib's. If that line remains, Vivi will only have one pixel for each eye, which I'm not really sure if its nice.
Here is the comparison between with and without the one line of the hat.
Also, do you think that it'll look better with glowy eyes? Because I feel that without it, it just seems...dull. Hmm...Anyone have any suggestion? ^^
Yeah, I'm not satisfied with the side view's hat. It looks bit odd, big. Hmm...Oh, I just noticed something. I think his collar for the side view is a bit too big, don't you think? ^^

Yeah the collar is definitely too big on the rear side view, and perhaps on the rear view as well or at least the shape is a bit off.
Yeah that front view of the hat needs a bit of work, neither of your current versions do the trick. Maybe make the hat one pixel short for the rim more gloabally instead of in the one spot.

As for Steiner, try adding a belt, without it, it just isn't Steiner to me, try adding Dycedarg's belt and Delita's pin, that's what I used for mine Steiner.

Alright, thanks. Here is the fixed Vivi (haven't add the other pixel for side view's eye).
About the eye for the side view, Kage, if you look at Wizard's side view eye, they also have one pixel ^^
As for Steiner, I actually preferred without the belt, though without it, it just doesn't look full Steiner. Haha. I'll try it though, as Beatrix has hers ^^
Also, what about the glowy eyes? ^^
