Alright, here's Lezard with Wiegraf's hair and the light brown hair color. Once the portrait is ready, I'll reduce the colors and post the bmp.

Uhm I find the hair too neat and short. . . try your avatars bangs mav. . . should be the perfect length. . .

Mike posted a full quality and not in JPEG of his old avatar. . . which would be good to merge em with Aqua to be perfect. . .

The problem with my avatar's bangs is that they're intended for a larger/more zoomed in face. I tried 'em and couldn't get 'em to look right. I also messed around with girls' hair: I tried a style where I used Ovelia's for the parting, I dud another style where I used Agrias's for the bangs (which I liked a lot--I have it saved), and I looked at Teta's but figured it'd look too much like Ovelia's. Wiegraf's hair is really...fluffy, Lezard's is long and flowing, which is what I attempted with his other hairstyle. So when I tried using Agrias's and Ovelia's (which I didn't end up keeping, sadly) they had that flowing look. The drawback of this style is that it can easily look fake, but on the flipside it's much easier to work with.

Also MiKe's Zefane has great glasses (the first, if I'm not mistaken) but I couldn't get them to look proper on Lezard. And seeing how well aquablack did it on his portrait, I just stole 'em (sorry pal, I should have mentioned this earlier: the glasses are taken from aquablack's avatar).

Wow...so many tries...Yeah, your avatar's bang looks the right length. Well, so now its back to Wiegraf's hair? If able to extend his hair a bit, then it would be perfect. Now the issue is short. Hmm..
Oh, and thanks Sir Cheetah. ^^
Erm, I'll try to make it if possible.

yep I agree. when I joined this community this is the only one I see in use on an FFT style avatar. . .

also that is a lot of effort put into that portrait mav. . .  great that you tried all sorts of things. . . sure let us try what we come up with if we mess with both glasses and I will check the hairs you mentioned maybe we do need more than one base for the hair alone to be alright. . .

Yea. Perhaps combination of hairs. For the glasses, perhaps combine both Mike's and Aqua's? Because Mike's is round which fits the reference picture while Aqua's have the partial frame, which also fits the reference picture. So what would it look like if combined? Hmm....

It may seem bizarre... but this face is so smug.. I nearly want to punch it.
Was I traumatised by a glasses-weilding vilain ?

Great job, I like it !
I keep leaving, I keep coming back. Boomerang boy.

Looks like you are just about there. Though for the record those smaller glasses looked really good too. My only issue is that there is a weird hair transition at the back of his head, the melding is very obvious there.

actually if we don't follow the reference pic I like the smaller glasses too because of the lens texture (whoa crap this can be used for Auron). . . but cant emulate it into a larger port when I tried so just mixed the nose piece and took Mikes Lens style from giving up. . .

well all of this is still Mav's call I just tried to make the front hair fix so he can work on it further. Sampling with other parts might still make it look closer. . .

yep copy pasting is obvious because of the hair color in front still being Mav's avatar and the back from the original Wiegraf recolor. . . I'm not really used to working with non 16 colored stuff. . . portrait is now centered so the shoulders would have to be added back. . .

Well done, Seu. I think I used the wrong hair to fill in the back, but you made the right moves. If you don't mind, I'll tweak it, recolor it, and show it to you guys. Hopefully nothing will get fucked up in the process.

go ahead mav its your port WIP anyways I just helped to make the bangs fit cuz you stated that as the problem. . . the small glasses give a meaner look so I think we can keep it that way. . .

Eh, I dunno how this one turned out. I tried to redo the backside of the hair, and I obviously recolored it, but it still doesn't look right to me.

This looks very good Mav! If you are tired of doing portrait for him, just tell, I can keep this one.

Btw, is it 16 colors??

Alright, here's one more version, but I won't say which one I prefer; you guys decide on that (or tell me what needs to be touched up) and I'll get it ready.

Heh, I'm not yet tired of working on it and no, neither that one nor this one are 16 colors (yet--it'll take me no time at all to reduce with no loss of quality)

I like the first one mav. . . the second I will keep for reference. . . the second looks more retro with the way you did the bangs may come in useful in a lot of long banged ports. . .

On second his hair is longer, and that's why he is more similiar to original. If you could add second bang to it, it would be perfect.

I like second one more, just add second bang(if possible).
