I've never seen a whole James Bond film until yesterday.

Mostly because my grandmother hates James Bond films. Something about them being "nothing but some guy with stupid gadgets in his car having sex with women." k whatever.

Yesterday was my opportunity to watch because I was home sick. I started with the first films, "Dr. No", "From Russia With Love", "Goldfinger", and part of "Thunderball". I didn't think they were that bad at all. Nothing really different from what she usually watches (Steven Steagal movies, Vin Diesel Movies). Whatever. I thought they were great.

Good ol' 007 making peoples lives better with sex scenes.
Oh pitiful shadow lost in the darkness, bringing torment and pain to others. Oh damned soul wallowing in your sin, perhaps...it is time to die

james bond rocks.  I think I have seen all of the movies.

But before you continue, the TV series came first, and chronologically Casino Royal is first in the timeline, at least in the books.

Yeah, I know that Casino Royal was the first in the timeline, but I wanted to see them in order released, but a T.V. series????

There is no Bond but Connery, and Q is his Prophet.

Good call starting with the classics. And Celdia is absolutely right about Connery and Q. Though I am a big fan of the new bond films.

I enjoyed Casino Royale, I'll admit. It wasn't the best Bond or anything but a solid bit of action-entertainment.

Damn Straight.

I liked "Tommorow Never Dies" and "Diamonds are Forever" the most from the movies though.

Expect a few "Man with the Golden Gun" references in Mercenaries, Scaramanga just stole my heart away!

I've only seen Dr No, The Spy Who Loved Me, most of Goldeneye, the new Casino Royale, and Quantum of Solace.

I saw the Spy Who Loved Me when I was little. That and Back to the Future are probably responsible for my fascination with cars.

Goldeneye I was attempting to watch while I was babysitting a couple of kids, but they didn't have much interest in just sitting and enjoying the movie, so I spent a good portion of it making sure they didn't kill eachother.

Dr No was pretty cheesy by today's standards, and not really something I'd call a classic, but Connery really fit that role well.

Casino Royale was awesome. Quantum of Solace was merely okay.

Weird? What do mean by that? I'm not weird at all. You must explain.

No, it's not like that at all. It's hard to explain though.

You see, my grandmother watches movies all the time, mostly because she's has problems moving and shit. Contrast me, I rarely watch movies because I have difficulties sitting still. This was true of my childhood. However, I've grown up a bit and now can sit on my ass and watch movies. My grandmother is the person that exposes me to movies. She sort of reminds me to watch a movie. Sleepwalkers? I guess I'll watch that. We have different televisions and she doesn't really care what I watch. Tuesday was different. I, unprompted, decided to watch a movie. Movies. Hope that clears things up.

Besides, I'm in a library, jerk.

And now, I take my leave for tonight.

Quantum was pretty good!  It picked up immediately after Casino Royale, making it feel like one continuous storyline.  The movies building off of each other is one of the reasons I like the way the Bond-restart is going.
