Does this look odd?A re-transition into spriting. (Kefka)

Well, I've recently (just now) tried to get back into spriting. I saw all my unfinished projects and decided it would be a shame to let them go to waste.

I'm trying to pick up on Kefka. But, I think his first walking animation looks a little odd. I'm not talking about his legs or his feet, mostly his upper body. Tell me what you think. Also, what do you think about the brightest green shade? I know it needs to be changed.

The best way to tell if he looks odd is by putting right beside your base sprite. I have to kind of agree with Vanya and that maybe your legs are somehow one pixel to the left.

oh i thought this was just some guy named kefka, never played ff6, well i have but i quit after in the beginning i saw biggs and wedge o.O just decided to gtfo

The best Biggs and Wedge are the FF7 ones. And the FF6 ones where eh.

yeah, the first time i ever remember seeing them was ff6

but without their magitek gear they were useless.

the ones in ff7 were much cooler. well the whole avalanche crew was pretty cool. i wished Biggs and Jessie were temporarily playable. would have been sweet to shark them back in lol... tubby wedge? ehh he could stay an npc lol

and then the ff8 Biggs and Wedge were more similar to the ff6 ones except there was a lot more time for their characters to develope.

i think they tried to  make those two ongoing characters but were they in 9? i dont recall. i know they were in 10 as blitz ball players which i never played.

The only thing worse than loosing Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie was probably losing Aeris and that's it. Fuck when Cloud fell into the lifestream that was just his way of showing weakness.

that was his way of showing you who he REALLY was, because thru everything leading up to that... your basically playing as a hollow version of Zack if you really think about it.

seriously tho... see the ff6 sprite? cid is pretty close here
i do suggest putting the white speck for the eye tho as the flesh color certainly makes it look odd, especially in the direct forward frame.

you can use multiple pictures to make a slideshow on camtasia studio, set the timespan of each pic to like one second and save it as a gif and voila

He's actually one of my favorite FF characters, this should be cool.

I feel like there should be a dip in head movement; however, that could just be mis-placement in my screenshots.

the dip comes naturally. test what you have out in battle and youll see.
