Stuck at "Squaresoft" Screen

I made an IMG file out of my FFT disc and then I patched it with the latest patch with PPF-O-Matic according to the instructions. Now when I run it with the pSX emulator I get stuck at the Squaresoft screen. I read another post on here in which someone mentioned this happening to them but it looked like they manipulated a whole lot more than I did by just patching the IMG file.

If anyone else had this happen or if you know how to solve this, please let me know. Thank you very much.

the problem might have to do with your emulator's video configuration settings

Hmm, well, the latest version of pSX only has a few graphics options. I only changed the full screen resolution. Setting it back to default doesn't fix the freeze unfortunately.

check to see if it runs a non-patched IMG

When you downloaded the emulator did you download all of the pluggins.
