This is my attempt at General Leo type character, tell me what you think.

It isn't finished, and it's my first sprite edit. ;) Mind the portrait face for now

I refuse to play Final Fantasy Tactics again until I am able to do my FF6 patch! And, FFT 1.3 doesn't technically count as FFT: so there!

Pretty good so far. The color scheme is good.
I think what I would suggest is to use some arms that have long sleaves. that would complete the costume.
I look forward to seeing it finished.

The greens and purple/blue shades are looking good. There is something a little odd about one of the hair/skin colors you are using though, it is creating an odd highlighting effect. A good start though.

Yeah I did pull the hair color off the original General Leo hair off the SNES.

wow great job, you went all out and finished the whole sprite table, pat yourself on the back lol blows my first attempt out of the water >_<

He's definitely white because of the blond hair, but it looks like a case of his rugged lifestyle making him look darker and dirtier.

Thats an awesome sprite sheet BTW, what base(s) did you use? Heres an idea: use a calculator's head, they sport an awesome mohawk like Leo had!
