A 'search' function when I'm looking for the animation, item, or whatever I want.

Admittedly it's not much of a problem but it could save a fair bit of time all the same.

I won't have the cheek to say 'how hard can it be?' because the answer is probably 'very hard'.

Eh, if there was any one thing changed about it, I would much sooner ask for something useful, like combining some of the text editor functions with it to allow renaming abilities, items, jobs, and descriptions while editing them, to cut down on cross-referencing/record keeping confusion and aggravation that I imagine some patches have.  I'm sure that would be an even bigger hassle and just as unnecessary though.

What it really needs? Patch stacking without breaking the game.

combine tact text with the main patcher so that when you make text changes, and are looking thru skills, items, jobs, units, etc it displays the new names to cut down on confusion.
