Final Fantasy Hacktics

I am pretty sure this was already mentioned before, but I am very new at hacking (well I never hacked before) and I wanted to use someone's sprites for Sephiroth. I want to add him in the game with my party. My question(s) is, what program(s) is/are needed and where can I find this program. And if this is at all possible, how do I work this program?
I also want to add in Zack Fair, Red Mage, Old Snake and reg Snake.
On top of that I want to make a Paladin Job Class but that is too advanced for me right now. Help would be appreciated, thank you very much.
