Final Fantasy Hacktics

Okay, i tried to get the portrait with black hair and i think i did prettyy decent except the lightest color in her hair...idk i just couldnt make it look right....Tell me what you think.  Also, i have posted a .bmp file with the portrait and its pallette so that anyone wants to edit the pallette. I have one unused brown color that we can get rid of too.

Ah yeah I like that a lot more.

Can I ask one question....how come nobody used Ctrl+PrtScn and paste it?...I was able to obtain the japanese's Tifa portrait from the video that way. All we have to do is fix the pallette!

Smash did do that, he had it under a spoiler tab. Look on the last page or one more back. I just doesn't come out quite right.

Well, I did a print screen, then I sharpened it a bit. If anyone wants to resize it, clean the errors, and fix the palette, I've attached the sharpened version.

Honestly though, you've done so well with your portrait that fixing this one feels like a disservice.

its still the best one, whoever that guy is, i bet the sprite is good too.

miroshi's is looking good too, but the chin needs to be smoothed out or something i think...

I'm working on the arms right now. The video showed that the tifa had edited Female monk Arms So that's what I'm using. It's turning out really good! I'm going to try to make her hair brown again and add two blacks for her arm warmer things and attempt to get rid of two colors. I'm probably gonna have to darken her shirt colors too so those arms pads don't look too bright. I've finished the arms for the walking animations and now i have to work on the arms for the attack animations.

Not that we need more people working on Tifa portraits...but I just had to make a few suggestions.

I reworked the hair color and made some slight changes to the hair style. The other thing that really needs to be done is more colors for the skin. You have the basic colors down but most portraits use a lot of browns to diversify the shadowing and skin tones. For most portraits these colors come from the hair, but I think it might be worth it to remove a shade or two of black to contribute to this.

cheeter the hair needs more sheen. i really think you guys should stick with giving it a more brownish tint especially because it can then be blended with the skin for better shading all around.

I've given up working on them. I've obviously been pwned in the face by everyone else's amazing skillz

I really don't like the brown though, she has black hair. With just a white and black shirt there should be plenty of colors to spice up her face. The hair could use a bit more sheen, but not too much because that isn't the FFT style. The the shading and texture of the hair as a whole is something I am terrible at.

Okay, i started to use valmafra as a base again like i did in the original and it turned out a LOT better. I also fixed up the hair, making it longer like the video.

The Video's Tifa has
-Female Monk Arms
-Valmafra Based Legs (and Skirt) and chest (maybe?)
-Dancer hair

My Tifa has
-Female Monk Arms
-Fusion of Valmafra and Thief legs and Chest
-Fusion of Archer and Dancer hair

Mine is pretty well based on the video's tifa and it's coming out well

I have to agree with Zozma. She has brown hair. I don't know why the hell they decided to change it for AC. It didn't really bother me though. I prefer her with brown hair.

since they were such a hit now they are trying to japanize them to make themselves cooler? lol...

I'm not even sure if this picture's tifa's hair is black or brown but I think its dark brown, right?
