His main problem with the mug is the shading placement.



And I think I know the cause- that FFTA mug. It looks like he's been using it as a direct reference for shading and overall mug style.

Get rid of the dammed thing, and only use fft mugs as references to fix the shading errors from now on. You won't need any more Llednar refs anyway, as your concept looks good already.
I strongly recommend to use the 3 Ramza mugs as refs, as well as both priests; the male priest has a hairstyle similar to Llednar's.

So means I should start all over for its hair shading?
And I didn't use Llednar's mug from FFTA as referrence for quite awhile.
I mean, start from the point where fixing the hair and shading, I use FFT's mugs as referrence, like what you suggested.

Not bad at all. I'd shave column of pixels off his left cheek, though. Also, get rid of some of those dark outlines.

You mean around his face outlines?
Or overall mug?

Everywhere except behind the ear and the deep folds of the hat. Those 2 places are fine, but the dark outline around the shoulders, collar, etc. are too harsh.

Oh...ok.

I tried my best but this is what I able to do...
I fixed those dark outlines that Vanya suggested to remove.
I'm sorry but I just not good at portraits. =.=
Anymore critiques that may help make this mug look better? ^^

Frankly I think you are rather good at portraits and I think this has turned out well. Though I'm wondering what is happening at the top right of his hat/turban. Why are there orange pixels?

Well, from someone who knows only what his eye can tell him about a portrait I think that looks really very well done man. I love it. You did a great job of taking the advice given and slowly improving it. Probably some other small things that could be fixed ala Cheetah's suggestion but good job IMO.
