Kaijuyu, by my Logic actually, FFT should not have been included because ff12 was. FFT is after the catalycsm, and moogles are exctinct in fft, whereas they are alive and well in ff12, showing that FFT is in the future.

If i came off a bit stern i apologize, but you should know that i never really put my text into place with a sense of anger, if you read it that way, its not the way it was intended. exclimation points are what i use when i raise my voice slightly, but caps lock is what i use for anger.

On a serious note, this is just speculation, i shouldnt have blurted out why they wouldnt do this. Although, since WoW was made possible(and they raped the WC3 storyline to make WoW fit) dissidia 2 is never impossible. but Sony's console games have more respect for themselves after what they did with X-2

An alternate Dissidia would be great, actually. Taking other characters from the same game.

1 and 3 would be a bit hard to wrap into it, but Edge vs. The red guy that killed his clan(memory spasm) would be doable, so would Zack vs. Genesis, or even Yuna vs. Seymor.

I cant honestly think of a compatabile storyline that would coincide with dissidia 1, if they made a dissidia 2, they would have to spinoff 1's storyline, which would be hard. Itd be easier to make it another game.

@Kaijuyu; the way i said it, Crystal Chronicles shouldve gotten one to, because its its own story. but its not what i meant, and you summed it up at the end of that post :)

to be realistic, dissidia's storyline doesn't make much since in the fact that the villains are still alive (except for golbez). seeing as sephiroth is alive in dissidia adds more to the fact that he can't actually die. as stated by sephiorth himself "I will never be a memory" as he continues to not die. the other villains (aside from golbez) died... i watched them die. Garland/Chaos, the Emporer, Cloud of Darkness, Kefka, Ultimecia, Kuja(i think) and Jecht all died in their respective games. No one knows what happened to Golbez after FF4 ended but he didn't die.

which brings me to my next statement. seeing how the characters already won, it appears that chaos and cosmos summoned the heroes and villains from a specific time period in their lives before the villain was defeated. So putting characters like vincent and weiss would be possible by summoning them from the dirge of cerberus timeline or summoning zack and genesis from the crisis core timeline. also seeing as that shantotto and gabranth are only playable in the storyline through the memory of cosmos (who btw is not dead) meaning that they don't exist in the actually story, anymore. So zack and genesis could have a similar role seeing as they come from the past. this theory will allow the characters from FFT, FFTA, and FFTA2 or other games with spinoffs to be included in the game.

and seeing as sentinal said that an alternate character would be added if a dissidia II was made, Barret from ff7 would go against Dyne (everyone else would pretty much see sephiroth as their villain seeing as no one in his world likes him).

oh and sora and riku wouldn't be good additions for a few good reasons:

1. These are toned down versions of the real FF characters, Sora has only fought his universe's versions of cloud, sephiroth, and squall/leon which btw are a lot weaker than the real characters. Sora and Riku would shit themselves trying to fight the real sephiroth.

2. It's dissidia final fantasy not dissida square-enix

dont get me wrong, i like kingdom hearts but it has nothing on final fantasy

I actually think sora/riku would be interesting characters to include. Can argue power levels all day, but honestly any villain would kick an average leveled hero's patootie one on one in their original games anyway. Also, KH is conspicuously lacking any squeenix content not from final fantasy.

Darn gametrailers has been crashing firefox for me recently. Couldn't see the whole thing, though looks quite similar to the japanese trailer.

Yeah it definitely wasn't anything special. The CG is so freaking good though, it is quite jaw dropping.

you are looking into this too deeply
