Quote from: "AuraDragon"Devil May Cry 4, it's like Devil May Cry, but cheaper, prettier, slower, and harder.

Wait, Devil May Cry 4 is the second easiest Devil May Cry game, only being beaten by 2's hold down the shoot button and win.

Then I must suck, cause the first real Boss (Giant flame minotaur demon thingy) was a pain in the ass, now, I was a bit reckless but that can't be helped, I was too lazy to just hammer him with my crappy revolver.

reminds me of my first time playing through DMC 3, I got stuck at Cerbus for like a week, stopped playing for like a month, and then beat the game on my next playthrough, started over as virgil, beat the game again, imput the cheat to unlock all modes, and beat the game on Dante Must Die mode the next day.
"Dave?  Are you there?"
"Yeah.  I can't get you through the cell now."
"You have to talk through the bratwurst from now on. I'm sorry. I didn't know it would do that."

After I finish 1.3 over break, I'm gonna play Chrono Cross I think.  Such an underappreciated gem.

Haha, which category do you fall into: betrayed that it didn't live up to its hype?  or apathetic about the Chrono series in general?

I recognize that it's not for everyone, but Chrono Cross is one of my favorite games.  The environments, music, and story are all epic, and the characters, while lacking depth, all look pretty cool.  Pretty much though, I just really like what they did with Lavos and how the orginal heroes' efforts didn't work out as planned, etc etc (don't wanna give spoilers for those who haven't played).  Also, I'm absolutely in love with the Dead Sea/Tower of Gheddon--most haunting environment I've ever explored in a video game.

In a devil may cry game, the sword is alway's your weapon of choice, guns don't even make a noticable decrease in a bosses health bar.

But yeah, try playing the first game on normal, it's pretty brutal. Just to contiune without restarting the level you have to use a gold orb.

That game required you to play in an awesome manner just to live through the boss fights.

I've played DMC1, in fact my brother almost beat it on Dante Must Die mode, we got stuck at some of those shadow feline thingies, and shit, one thing I hate about DMC4 is that I move like a sluuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggggggg, in DMC1 I could run, roll, jump, shoot, slash, you get the picture, without worring about shit like "Will I be able to run that far before the boss uses his uber gay hit-every-at-once-for-50%-HP-damage?

I mean that is just LAME, the AI in FFT is much better, as if they saw that they had that skill they would spam all day long, and that would make a tough boss. ;)

Currently playing Chrono Trigger DS, FFTA2 (still haven't finished), FF3 DS, Star Ocean First Departure.

Now playing audio-surf. The game is extremely fun and the download of the full game is only 10 bucks if you have steam which is free of course.
