Final Fantasy Hacktics

I'm sure it's somewhere around here, but my searches for a beginner's guide came up nill. Can someone give me a rundown of how to set up the emulators and files? I have Retroarch, but for the life of me, I don't know which emulator is for PSX, maybe I already have it, maybe there's a specific one that works best for the mods. I have both the PS1 FFT and PSP War of the Lions, but IDK if I'm supposed to rip them and how, or if I'm supposed to just find a ROM of the game.

Can anyone show me how to set up the game? Or link me to a thread that already has?
