I noticed when guest characters (or certain enemies) dies, they are immortal and have no turn count when they are dead (marked by a dizzy-like sign). Can I make my units immortal like those units (by hacking the game ofc)?

I don't know if this would interest you, but I do feel it could do what you're trying to accomplish?

Otherwise I'm not sure how to easily achieve what you have in mind and it would likely require ASM hacking.
