Any way to modify the Level Cap (FFTA2 now)?

Basically, I have the same issue as my other thread about FFTA, but here, the ballancing is is even worse at higher levels.

On FFTA game I used a scalling hack as Darthatron suggested and worked wonders

But on this game (FFTA2) a really want a Lower level cap if possible.

The level scalling on this game makes you so overpowered, at mid-high levels (60+), even in hard mode.

I think lv40-50 shoud be a good cap for this game, giving you some challenge.

Thanks

Hello.

Changing the bytes at BD094 and BD09C (both should be 63 (99 in decimal) by default) to 32 (50 in decimal) will change the level cap to 50, for the party at least. I'm not sure how the enemies are generated in this game.

How do i do this? That can be used to generate an action replay code??

Darthatron

No, since this is editing the actual game, you can't do it with an Action Replay. You will need to download a Hex Editor and goto the offset I gave you and change the bytes manually. This is all the programs that modify values do, just a little harder. :)

That worked very well.

I did what you suggested and used a "max level" action replay code to test.

Thanks a lot!

Will this hex edit affect your party only? It kinda defeats its purpose if it will also affect mission enemies.
