Possible to get cinematic sprites? (EX: the Wiegraf killing Gustav scene)

FFHacktics has a great collection of the game's character sprites but I was wondering if its possible to get ahold of some of the cinematic character sprites. For example the great scene where Wiegraf dodges Gustav's attack then stabs him through the chest. Is there anyway to get the sprites from that scene and or any other scenes of that type. (Other examples being Delita punching Ovelia or Ramza blowing grass flutes ect...)

This is a screen capture example of the wiegraf scene I'm talking about.

Consider putting everything in one topic.

If you grab the program called Evtchr View you can find all of these by importing some files that you can rip from your FFT file, export the images, edit them, import them, then import the files that you originally took from your FFT file!

I'm not interested in editing these scenes for the purpose of then incorporating them back into the game. Rather I'm interested in
them for collectings sake. Considering this I supposed I just need to follow the first half of your instructions - ripping from the fft file and then exporting them huh?

Yup, although if you are only ripping them here is what I suggest.

When you open up the files some of the characters have messed up colors, that is because you have to adjust the palette using the program.
So instead of ripping them, take screenshots of the ones with the correct palette.

Example, Wiegraf and Gustav have different palettes. One of them in that program will appear with odd colors. Take a screenshot so that you can have the ones with the right colors, then take another screenie when you have changed the palette to the other guy.

That way you don't have to go through the slightly painful process of giving people the correct palettes. It's just time consuming though, it's not hard.

You can make some really cool GIF's with that stuff too :)

You don't have the take screen shots of the palettes :P
The number under the EVTCHR is the palette. Just keep increasing/decreasing it until you find the desired Palette.
You can export any EVTCHR with of any of it's Palettes. Or Rather, you can export the same sheet with all the different palettes
separately. Unlike Spritesheet where all the palettes are stored on 1 sheet, the EVTCHR Editor lets you extract all the palettes
of an EVTCHR separately as different files.

Meh, that's how I do it... Because I didn't know you could export it with a specific palette >.<

So you can just ignore what I said before then!

I did some searches online and could only find an untranslated version (apparently Japanese) from an archive named "JP Tools.rar". At first it seemed pretty explanatory however when I look in my EVENT folder and upload the UNIT.bin,WLDFACE.bin ect - I now have access to an array of items (for example the 00-02 - Teta item seen in the attached image) but I have no way of previewing them. I assume the question mark on the right edge of the app is where said preview would be located. Also, I see no evidence of a palette. Do I have an outdated version of this app and if so is there a place to download a better one? The version I'm using is v2.1.
