Final Fantasy Hacktics

Dear Gents and ladys,

I have discovered this community quite recently and and as big fan of FFT i couldn't wait to try out the patches posted on this forum.

The patch i wanted to try was "CCP 2nd" and i have patched the original iso with it and then converted it to eboot so i could play the patch on my psp.
the game loads up just fine and the opening screens is the new so one so the patching at least has worked.

Now, my problem is that the game freezes at the very start where you see nothing but "Orbonne Monastery" on the screen. after that my psp just shuts off on its own i have to turn it on again.

Any help would be much appreciated.

While I haven't had anyone test CCP 2nd for making a usable eboot yet, I know it was never successfully done with the original CCP. Since I use a lot of the same hacks for CCP 2nd, just updated to newer versions, I think it's fairly safe to say that CCP 2nd also will not work as an eboot. However, if anyone wants to try and overcome this obstacle, they're welcome to it. Officially though there will never be an actual PSP version of CCP or CCP 2nd unless someone comes up with a new way to emulate things on there.

this is due to load delays in the ASMs. which will make is not work on psp or a normal modded console. for best results use something like espxe.

Depending on what asms are used you may be able to get the people that made them tofix the issue.

well quite honestly i have no idea what ASM's are xD

However i do thank you for your replies and for clearing up my question.

I'll just stick to 1.3 for now.

If its not too much trouble could you tell me what patches have got versions that work on psp?

Sorry for the double post, I was just wondering if this applys to any patch that was made of the ps1 version.

Yes, most of them have crippling ASM's. IIRC CoP works on a console, but that may have changed since i last played it on my PS1.

My goal is to have Jot5 work on a modded console or psp or whatever, but making it do so is why we have still not released at this point.
