Just picked up the fftpatcher suite, have some questions

First of all, I'm new here.  Hello everyone!
Now then, I just picked up fftpatcher and am playing around with it, and I have a few questions:

I don't have enough room left on the memory stick I have right now to rip the ISO from the UMD and patch it.  The slowdown fix I'm using lets me play from the UMD, so it doesn't take up much room on the stick.  Can I create a patch that works in the same manner using fftpatcher, or do I need the ISO?

I'd really love to give Ramza a new sprite, but again, do I need to rip the ISO for that?
Also, using Shishi and whatever is on Celdia's tutorial (I haven't gotten to it yet) will change Ramza's sprite in battle and formation, but not cutscenes, correct?  If so, where would I go for info on changing that?

In the Items tab of fftpatcher, one of the formulas can make a weapon cast spells.  Which skillsets other than magicks can I pick from without causing some sort of glitch?  For example, can I use a specific Geomancy?

Last (for now) question: How can I change the damage formula on Fell swords so that they don't require low faith.  Right now, I just re-classified them as Knight swords, but is there a better way?

You MUST have the ISO for FFTPatcher / FFTText / FFTOrgASM / ShiShi.

You would need to actually MAKE the Sprites of his actions in cutscenes to change them.  Each character's custom actions come from a separate sheet called EVTCHR that is independent of the actual Sprite sheet.

Formula 02 works fine with any skill 0001 to 00FF.  It can't cast any skill after FF because Cast Weapon As Indexed is a 1-byte check and not two.

On the PSP you'd have to find the formula and manually edit it with ASM.  Since no one really researches the PSP for various reasons, making them Knight Swords is your best course.

Is it possible to buy the original version from PSN and play it on an emulator?  Or is there an emulator that will let me play WotL?
