Final Fantasy Hacktics

I am trying to make another skill just like throw stone but I can't get the animation right she acts like she picks up something and throws but no stone or the enemy doesn't act like its getting hit . Is it possible to get it perfect I went to the animation tab and copied the throw stone to the new skill and still wrong any ideas ?
