OMFG. At least McCain skirted around the questions he was asked. This chick didn't even answer the questions she was asked. She told the moderator out right that she wouldn't answer her questions. That's not a VP candidate! That's just a rude! How can anyone in their right mind think this woman can do the job of VP or maybe even President? She's a good speaker, but she just doesn't have anything to say that can convince a half-way intelligent person she or McCain are any different from Bush's administration.

And all of these patronizing republican politicians saying she said that they're different; please! We Americans are not so stupid as to fall for such an obvious ploy to raise independent votes. I mean am I the only one that Noticed that the McCain campaign stopped calling Obama *inexperienced* the moment that Sarah Palin was named VP candidate? Is that not the very definition of hypocrisy?

*Post debate rant over*

Ok, as a Republican, I can say that I don't see any perfect choice in this year's elections, but I will vote for McCain because his views on the ethical issues in this race are the same as mine.

Also, I think we should all view Palin as McCain's last laugh against Clinton.
Y'know, the man's not exactly the youngest person in the world, and there's a chance he'll be out the door soon. To get to the point, Palin is McCain's way of telling Clinton "Take this, bitch! You'll never be the first woman president!".

I find politics humorous.
We will build cities in a day, we will build towers to the heavens. We will be heroes.
This sleeping city doesn't know what's coming. She doesn't feel the heat.
Even when the darkness surrounds us, we shall light up the night.

I find politics petty.

I think it's probably safe to assume that there were better running mate picks for McCain to go with.  There had to have been, seeing how Palin's experience pales in comparison to Obama's, and isn't half of McCain's campaign centered around making snide remarks about Obama's experience?  A VP's got to be able to handle the position of President if the need arises, and I would not feel comfortable with her in that position.

Any comparison to Hillary Clinton is nonsensical.

I find the whole Palin situation a fucking joke and I seriously am very disappointed that the US is even considering having her up there.

Are you fucking serious?

I want that bitch nowhere near leading the ANY country.

Fuck that.

Politics in the States is now officially all a fucking joke and all hope of seriousness and credibility has gone to fuck.

the thing is Palin isnt educated enough to even teach a government class to eighth graders and they want put her in charge of a country pretty much

and this blows my mind mainly because in an interview she was asked to name 1 supreme court case and she said she didnt know any and i cant believe that cause i can name at least 1 of the bat and thats the Terry Shaivo (SP?) case

*rant not over*

I agree Palin is a joke, she reminded me of a femal version of Bush during the debate.

The most annoying thing though is hearing "Maverick" over and over.

It's sad the Repubs could only find a woman with such repressed views in batshit crazy Alaska.

Sarah Palin is an insult to American's and Republicans should be outraged at her nomination. It's absolutely absurd to think of this person being our primary ambassador to the world let alone being temp President after McCain croaks. For god's sake:
Palin is totally unqualified!!
This is a very BAD thing!!
The VP NEEDS to know stuff!!

She actually brings to mind what you would get if Bush and Cheney had a love child together.

Quote from: "KazeKasano"Ok, as a Republican, I can say that I don't see any perfect choice in this year's elections, but I will vote for McCain because his views on the ethical issues in this race are the same as mine.

Remember this: Ethics will do no one any good if this country is run into the ground with another 8 years of war and deregulation of the economy.

Although, I do have to agree that there is no perfect choice, I also feel compelled to point out that there never will be. I don't agree with some of Obama's ideas, either. But at least he is more of an agent of positive change than McCain. (NOT A MAVERICK!!!)

I'd believe McCain more if he didn't own 9 homes and 13 cars. What the fuck does he know about main street USA? Maybe he remembers it the way it was 40 years ago, but that doesn't make it relevant today.

@Gov. Palin: And for the love of god! Stop saying that every idea that comes out of your mouth will create jobs! You want to create jobs then you have to reform the entire corporate system. Why don't we start by giving corporations LESS rights instead of more than the average citizen?
Force them to make a job here for every job they make overseas? Here's an idea! If you want the legal protection that comes with incorporation, then the corporation forfeits the right to buy other companies. What the hell ever happened to fairness? what happened to decency?

@Feminists: If being a woman doesn't make Palin automatically unqualified to be VP of the US, it also doesn't make her automatically qualified either.

@ vanya i completely agree i cannot see someone with less government knowledge than me * and i almost failed government for crying out loud* getting any closer to president than a low level secretary

i get it she a woman and so was hillary and i would have rather had her cause shes got brains and plans that could be put to use

also there will never be a perfect choice because the american people expect perfection when noone is so i will go with the one who's ideas add up to more good than bad

cause i am a democrat but if mccain had made a better choice for a running mate i might see voting for him

but now i cant because a)he has a bad vp choice and b)i just dont know where he gets the overbearingness to put his name on the commercials he does cause when they put that bailout up to vote it failed but the next day mccain had a commercial saying it passed and obama is to blame and then he is sai it didnt pass and obama is to blame and now he is back to square one

the mccain ticket is a blame game

also i watched the debate with my friends we had a drinking game that we would drink every time palin said maverick and at the end we were completely wasted

im darthpaul and i approve this rant

Mccain's trying to get votes by people who expect his to die so that PALIN can be president.
