First of all, I would like to show my appreciation to this great community which has inspired me to re-play one of my most favorite games ever, and with an extra touch to it. I love what you guys have done here.

Now to my help part, Im trying to change my sprites in the formation row and job wheel. Im still new to editing the game but I have a fair understanding of how it works. Now I downloaded all the sprites from the download section but Im trying to edit them and I dont seem to be able to find the palletes for each one since im downloading them in .spr format not in .bmp so everytime I save them in my image editor program the colors on the sprite are all messed up. I was wondering if anybody could do them for me (I've already spent multiple hours trying to do this with no success) or if someone already has done this, which I has failed to find. The Unit and portrait I need are:

Neo Cloud
Ramza Cape
New Agrias
Sephiroth
Meliadoul Unveiled
Generic Female Assasin
Female Shooter
Generic White Mage Male / Female
Generic Knight Male / Female
Generic Samuria Male/ Female
Generic Black Mage Male / Female
Generic Female Ninja
Lenneth Valkyrie
Male Rouge
Red Mage (Not the generic one)
Golagros

This are all from the Sprites Download section.

Once again thenks for this great community, thank you.

Really easy way to convert .spr to .bmp:

1. Download Shishi's (the most modern version)
2. Use it to open your .iso (yes, restructure if it asks)
3. Go to Import -> .SPR (you should now have the new sprite overriding the one you have up)
4. Go to Export -> .BMP and save it to where you want it.

There you go!

Also, before you override the sprite you should probably export a copy so you can replace it once more over the new sprite (basically you put the sprte slot back to normal)
  • Modding version: PSX
