Final Fantasy Hacktics

Watsup forum just got started playing hacktics 1.3 and to my knowledge its very fun and challenging, LOVING IT! Just had a question regarding if implementing/installing sprites is possible through Mac. im using a Macbook Pro "15 and ISO that im using for Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX) is a .img file. I had a hardtime looking through the forums to find answer and if there is a similar post regarding what im asking please post it. If there is a way to put sprites through a Mac i would deeply appreciate it and will be streaming my playthrough of FFT 1.3 through livestream [www.livestream.com/reikn] through im very new at it would be nice to speak to you all thanks for your help!

All the programs are for Windows for the most part. Do you have an intel based mac?

i believe so, this macbook pro (15") has a 2 GHz Intel Core i7

Well you can try to figure out how to use Wine, and it might run some of the programs. Otherwise you will need to find a way to dual boot either using Bootcamp or Virtual PC (there are other options) to run the Windows operating system.

u mean crossover right? if so yea ill give it a try. if anyone else is reading this and would like to help please do so lol ill keep this thread updated and try to figure it out for us mac users . thanks again Cheetah.

There are many options, crossover is actually just the paid version of Wine. I just recently started using Wine and it is decent. It is also free and legal, two words that are rarely used on a hacking site.

That tutorial may be very outdated, I never had to do any command line stuff. Though then again I haven't gotten every program running.

haha ic. well i got things working through CrossOver and i confirmed it works ingame. just need to download a plugin for Shishi's Sprite Manager. Its called Mono for Windows. Need to install the Gtk# file. the other one which was CDmage didnt need anything :> if anyones reading this and is having trouble opening things for Mac lemme know ill post links. or just pm me thanks again Cheetah

lol its not that bad x) just that.. i cant format the formation screen sprites or the pre-battle one but while in cutscenes or during actual battle the sprites work perfectly :3 and.. 1.3 is so hard now.. lol....... Thank God for emulator hax teehee
