Final Fantasy Hacktics

I'm knew to this spriting thing, but I want to make a storm trooper (starwars) and was wondering if someone could give me some idea for a good base to start with..

So is he already working on it? Perhaps I should just wait til he finishes it if he's a more experienced spriter, and spend my time elsewhere..

I'm quite certain what he has is posted in that thread. You have an entire starting frame and some walking, it is a very good start.

Well, here's my first sprite so far. It's supposed to be genesis from Crisis Core. I still need to do the shoulders though. Any advice so far?

So, I managed to finish this sprite. However, my computer crashed and I lost it along with everything else I'd ever worked on. I feel bad for never submitting the finished product...
