Help! / Ramza sprites

Okay here's what i know.
using fft patcher, you can change any character to any non-recruitable unique characters (eg. zalbaag, dycedarg, weigraf etc)
these examples i used, will never join the unit in the normal way, unless I/we use the patcher.
now, each of those modded characters are now in my pre-battle menu, but theyre all appear to be ramza chapter 1 sprites.
well, i know i can change it by playing 'round with FFTEVGRP and changing the ramza sprite to the desirable character i want.
now here's a situation.

i changed generic character 1 --> zalbaag
generic character 2 --> dycedarg
[both character 1 (zalbaag) and 2 (dycedarg) have ramza chapter 1 in pre-battle menu]

used FFTEVGRP to change 'ramza chapter 1' sprite --> zalbaag sprite

now, here's the problem:
character 1 & 2 now both look like zalbaag.
my goal is to have character 1 stay as zalbaag appearance while character 2 (dycedarg) look like himself in his form in the pre-battle menu.
any pointers for this one???

Im curious, but i need to ask.
I know the final boss ultima, has a similar master teleportation (color blue teleport) as first form.
second form, death seraph, teleportation has another similar to master teleportation (color red teleport).
both looks different to how their teleportation form looks like
im try to figure out wat the exact action for that one, tru lioneditor or patcher.
planning to apply it to NORMAL characters.
any idea what it is??

Help! / New to Sprite Creation

Hi, I'm a newbie on creation of fft sprites!
what is the first thing (program needed) for me to get started in creating, modifying, editing, sprites like how you guys do?

Here's a bit of something ive been experimenting lately... *noob*

i do was able to create items tru the Item(s) listed with a blank and written in japanese kanjis (Items 297/アイテム297)
I was able to apply their rightful effects and etc tru FFTPatcher.
But for item name and description on FFTactext v.457, i dont seem to get it...
well, yes i kinda get it.
item name --> BOOT.BIN[28E5EC] --> 8. Item names --> *Changed "アイテム297" under Text
item description --> BOOT.BIN[32D368] --> 14: Item descriptions --> *Added coded info on the similar item above under Text

after that, I go --> ISO --> Patch ISO...
Then,
Success!

Starting the game, i noticed that the items are there, but the description and name of the item(s) are not present...
where did i go wrong??

Help! / Unable to Open .SPR on ShishiSpriteEditor

Sorry if I'm askin such a nooby question, but i recently got my hold on the latest ShishiSpriteEditor, and ive been getting sprites from http://www.ffhacktics.com/sprites.php?s ... 0&show=all
but for some odd reasons, those sprites that are 64kb, i cant seem to open em and i keep gettin those errors. some of em, like within 44-kb range, i can open though...

how do i open those that are 64kb?
late take "Cloud (Ver.2) " as an example...how??
