Yep, its been a fully working sprite since about 10 minutes after I started on it, except for the color change anyways(adding multiple palettes). I suck at making my own sprites/portraits, but I can combine different ones and recolor them pretty easily. (Helped that the two I combined were really good.)

Sorry it took so long, laziness kicked in; anyways, after following the advice Zozma gave me here is what I came up with:

Well, can't get the eye color back to being white without making a part of the sprite look dull. I did however fix one of the colors, it was actually part of the hair instead of the armor.

Color List:
Default Black
One color used for darkest parts of the sprite(Eyebrows, between parts of the armor, and between the armor and hair)
Five colors for the metal armor
Three colors for the cloth armor
Six colors for the hair and face

The white in the eyes was originally part of her armor, I could change some of the colors with the armor. At the moment its using nine of the colors for just that and a couple are almost the same. Five for the metal armor, four for the cloth parts, so right there is probably two I could free up at the least.

Forgot to put the credits for the original sprites I used in the main post, so they're edited in now.

Original Sprites used are:
Agrias(Redone) by Lydyn/Zozma for the top half/portrait.
Beatrix by Zozma for the bottom half.

Who's your custom character? What's his/her job and skillset?

Just changed the sprite and named it Saeru, usually like to put one of my characters into a game.

Trolling the forums for something to do, and about to start recording more of my 1.3 playthrough, just finished Sweegy Woods last night. By the way, is it ok to post a link in the 1.3 battle logs forum even though I changed some of it?

Edit: You posted like 5 times before I finished typing this one post. :lol:

Changed the opening battle and a little with Chapter 1:
1) Alicia/Lavian/Rad was given the unlocked jobs that they join you with; Oracle, Mediator, Lancer instead of Monk x2 and White Mage.

2) Rad became my custom character but is still a generic squire for the base class just a different permanent sprite. The sprite is a combination of the redone Agrias sprite and the Beatrix sprite made by Lydyn/Zozma. Top half from Agrias but the bottom half from Beatrix.
3) Finally I set it to remove all Chapter 1 generics that you have after the Fort Zeakden battle with Algus, who now has a generic archer sprite so that I could use his spot for my custom character.

According to the chart that was posted and after looking through all the different zodiac pages for myself.

Haven't really even known about the sidereal/tropical astrology till just now, thought I was a Cancer this entire time and that it didn't really have any effect on my life. Fun thing that I found out though is a page on Wikipedia about Mutable signs, which is what Gemini is classified under:

"They supposedly adapt very well to new situations, possess much flexibility, seldom have any particular agenda and are perfectly happy to fill in an assigned role. However, they are also said to be inconsistent, changeable, nervous, indecisive and irresponsible, with a tendency to get wrapped up in tiny particulars. There is also a certain duality associated with all the mutable quality signs."

These sentences are more true than anything else I've read about the different zodiac systems/signs, especially the happy to fill any assigned role and indecisive parts. I know its not a good thing but I don't mind being told what to do most of the time, a small example is in WoW where I get the "whats needed to finish the group spot" in about everything.

Btw, I've edited this post three(correction four) times to get it how I actually want it.  :lol:

Still having the same problem; happens even if I only add one line to the event instructions and it does this no matter where I put the line.

Thanks this was what I was wanting to know; completely strip the party and start over after the 'flashback' ended.

EDIT: Not sure if its still going to work or not.... I put the events into the following spoilers. The first is what it looks like in the event.txt file, the second is what the event looks like if I compile then decompile the test.evt file. For some reason it changed the part after a couple of edits into a completely random mess it looks like, the second one is also missing an EventEnd() line.

EDIT2: Is there a limit to how much can be in the event files? It looks like a run off of a different event.

EDIT3: Removing the added lines then compile/decompile and its back to normal, any thoughts on how to add this into the event without completely messing it up?

One last edit: Tried putting the lines into the orbonne event and they were still intact after I decompiled the test.evt file again. However, scrolling down near the end of the event instructions, before the text, a couple of lines were replaced with a different, but similar, random mess as the first try.

I'm using the event compiler/decompiler to change it not the patcher.
This is with the Multi option on in the config file so it separates all of the events inside a folder:
End of Fort Zeakden(end of Ch1): EVT_090_05A
Orbonne Monastery(beginning of Ch2): EVT_117_075

If I read it right the following at the bottom of the Fort Zeakden event is where Delita leaves the group, I just want to add a command(s) to automatically remove units 2-16 instead of just the guest with job #4.

Help! / Removing ch 1 generics from ch 2

Trying to edit the events to remove all of the chapter one generics(cadets) between Fort Zeakden and when Chapter 2 begins. I've found the events that involve this part of the game, but I can't figure out what command(if there is one) to remove generic characters, 2-16. Saw the command posted in a different topic about removing guest characters and figured there is probably one for generics as well.

I want to dump all of the cadets that you use in Chapter 1 since Ramza 'dropped it all and ran' don't see why he would still be with the cadets. This way Chapter 2 would be a bit of a fresh start with Rad, Alicia, and Lavian, who I almost never used before. I'm changing Rad into a custom special character, and may change the other two as well.

Hoping my team can do decently in the tourney, also thinking of restarting my 1.3 playthrough so I can keep track of my battles.(since I finally got a working program to record with, my AI teams video was a test to see how it worked.) Geomancers are nearly immune to evadable magic and single target damage is pretty strong with the ninja, other three bring in some area damage. Looking forward to watching around 48(I think) matches between the winner and loser brackets.

32 in the winner's bracket if the top team in the loser's bracket goes back up.
Something around 16 in the loser's bracket i believe.

Good luck to everyone else in the tournament as well.

Well, about time I actually made an introduction post, so here goes:

I've been around the site for close to a year now, playing around with the patcher and about any other toys I could find here. Messed with abilities, skillsets, jobs, and added a custom character to my games. Only started posting this last week due to the AI Tournament, videos were so awesome, and I wanted to get in on the next one.

Got hooked on 1.3 as well(has a lot of really nice changes), even if I did get a little pissed at losing the very first battle cause of the move-hp up knight. Just got Mustadio as a guest character in Ch. 2 and trying to switch around my main characters to be like my AI team. Current team is Ramza as a Geomancer, Saeru as a Monk, a Thief , and an Oracle, add in Alicia or Boco if i get into a 5 man battle.

Little about myself: 19 in the fastest weather changing state of Ohio, (70 degree weather one day to a snow storm the next this year.) I have an outta the home business fixing people's computers decent pay and I get to have a decent amount of free time. Was a game freak since about the age of 6 when I jumped on my brother for the Nintendo controller to play Mario Bros. Finally my username is my main character in WoW, though its getting extremely boring.

Delete is the options menu while in-game, just press home as soon as it comes up(first option). Should remove the limit, I usually get up to 200-300 fps in battle if I do this from my set cap of 60.(BTW, the intro screens/movie won't speed up, only once you get to the load screen, in-game, and battles.)

I just  deleted the name in every place I added it, repatched, and it is working fine now. Played it for about 2 hours straight without glitching, freezing, or crashing. I'm guessing its because I added a 5 letter name into a black space, added about 30 letters throughout the editing, and that went over the limit. So apparently the new text editor still has the character limit as the old one did, just doesn't show it anymore.
