Help! / Skillset X innate all GLITCH?

Hey all, took me awhile to figure out what was causing this glitch and I'm pretty sure its the Skillset X innate all FFTOrgasm. When this is selected its causing a glitch that freezes the game whenver a spell is cast. Anyone else getting this too? It says to make sure X equals Y which I did. And I set the number to 05 Basic Skill so they would all have innate basic skills. Fix for this? Cheers

Yo man first time reading about this project of yours and it sounds bad ass. I like the reductions of player movement and jump abilities, along with many other changes.

Yo yo!! Been playing Jot5 some more and have some praises for the team and one question:

I love a lot of the little changes you made like how you can't get Move+1 and instead you have Move-JP up and how the battle boots give you jump abilities instead of Move abilities. It makes sense that the characters can't move 6+ dam squares.

The game feels clean and balanced!!

The player abilities make sense: Like how Snake has the Hide ablility, can move far, and heal himself with the Smoke Break. Love it.

I like when you get a reward from the battle and the reward makes sense. Like when you beat monsters you get items instead of money, and when you win a battle against the Rangers in the woods the reward is a bow gun that they were using against you. It makes sense and shows thoughtfulness for the game.

Question: Is there an easy way to tone down the Random Battles difficulty using the FFTPatcher?? I like using the random battles to test out new abilities and such, but they've been even harder than the story-line Battles!!

Ooooh I see... so if they're targeting a unit ID then they'll try to kill that target first. Right on

[edit] Dude if I can figure this out, this is F*king cool. Ok so for example if I want the selected unit to Save CT I would enter the number 4 in box 26 right? and not sure what you mean about Target Unit ID (x24)??

Hey Hacktics community!! Is there an easy way to change how the AI behaves?? How to set their priorities for which actions they choose?? If there's a ton of hex work or anything like that, I'm not interested... looking for something relatively easy like an orgASM hack or FFTPatcher adjustment... Cheers!

Hello, can someone show me the thread discussing how to change unit Skill Sets so that all the skills will work? I'm changing unit Skill Sets using FFTPatcher but when selecting the skill in game they either not show up or not work properly. For example, I combined the Archer and Monk skillsets so that Archer's who have the Charge skill-set will also have the punch art abilities. However, when selecting the punch art abilities in-game they don't work properly, such as the Earth Slash only being selectable for the adjacent enemy rather than 8 squares away. Appreciate your help.

Right on thanks I can see the potentiality in this... So how exactly are you editing your generics via the ENTD #188 in order to not have the item-glitch? Are you changing the "jobs unlocked" scroll down to something other than chemist? Thanks!

Ya thanks for your help, I didn't know that you had to configure each button in the Configure Gamepad pull down menu after opening ePSXe.

Can you please explain how to "set the value next to the troublesome skillset to a more agreeable one"? Is this using another program other than FFTPatcher?? Thanks. I'm trying to edit Skill Sets but have glitch problems...

WOW!! Been playing the first 3 or 4 battles and I'm really impressed!! It's challenging! The battles have a good balance. And the story line is great. Seriously epic! The best FFHaktix patch I have played so far! I'm starting to compare it with the original FFT... maybe a hasty thought but so far so good. Cheers.

Yo what's up just finished the Jot5 demo and wow!  Really impressed!  Love seeing the old character add-ins like Cloud and Link, also Dante is very funny!  I cracked up laughing at the "no nose" jokes when they first meet at Ramza's castle, and I've always loved interactions with Sephiroth. For some reason I have the same affinity for him as Cloud does.

On the topic of job-skills I like how you reduced the speed and movement of Knight classes (you call them Guardians) who wear armor. It makes sense and gives a more realistic feel.

Also I like how the potions cure only 20 HP instead of 30 and the wish skill revives for only 1 HP. I always felt that the healing and raising the dead in the original Vanilla FFTactics was overpowered, making the game too easy.

Huge fan of this work! Looking forward to Friday!!
