Final Fantasy Hacktics

Am I the only one that thinks this sprite needs a lot of work before it is submitted? The gold outline on the hat and coat looks sloppy at best, the shading is flat, and where are you getting these palettes from? They look awfully saturated and if you're planning on keeping these palettes then change the shades of gold because it doesn't work with the green and purple for sure. Try a different color trim than gold for your 5th palette also.
Take a look at Smash's edit and try to incorporate it for the rest of the sprite. Overall this is not a bad start on a custom sprite but put next to any other fft sprite in-game it would look gross

before you keep working on more frames try and shade the hat a little, you can CLEARLY tell you did custom work on the hat and simply recolored the outfit in those back views

anyways, i think the only thing that needs work is the hair, it comes down a little too far in the back and too thin in the front

Stick with the green palette for the portrait, since that matches what you're currently using for the sprite.
The red would make a good alternate palette

It is about time jimmy's vampire gets top 3 from a judge, it's extremely well done

use the darker color of the trim more to give it depth
also, the trim is much too linear under his ear

Exactly. As long as you don't absolutely hate your job and it pays the bills, it is a good one.
you have to realize it's a JOB, it's not a HOBBY and it's not for FUN.


As for myself, I am interested in going into medicine not just because I enjoy helping people and have always been interested in biological sciences, but because I am in love with the respect involved with being a doctor. Respect is the most important thing in any intrapersonal situation (relationships, first impressions, etc) for me and that factor attracts me to the field more than anything else.
