Fighting has a great start for expressing the mood, and it makes me wanna crush the boss. Midway through, the melody starts to get repetitive, which fits well for a battle theme but for me it's not too much spectacular for a boss battle. Red Lab on the other hand has pretty random melodies, has depth with the scary oohs partnered with a fast-paced melody, and expresses the mood well. It does get kinda repetitive midway though, not too much since this is a field tune.

Recent introduction topics share something similar: They all have the tilde character "~", and that's not all.

I can't help but think that these newcomers know each other. And oh, random fact, all of them love (or should I say "loves") smileys and treat phrases in parenthesis as most likely sentences.

Oh well. I'll just ignore that and say welcome instead. edit: Not that it would matter much.

I like the hair, and you did a better job on the hat, Jimmy. Falling in love with the angry expression, are we? It looks great on him though.

I like the changes. Making his face thicker and removing the bangs were a good choice. The red shading on the back on the feather and on the clothes is kinda flat. Also, the neck area should be darker than the chin area.

I took some spare time to edit it. Compare what changes I made from yours and maybe learn from it. This one has 15 colors, so you might want to add 1 more for the white shades. ;)

It's awesome alright. I already listened to it numerous times long ago, but thanks again for reminding me of this great medley from a great soundtrack.

It's just a fan-made opening sequence featuring FFT-esque models of MCs from FF7 to 13. >.<'

The sprites at the end were kinda rushed. I SWEAR I've seen a better Lightning sprite somewhere... @.@

When you are doing a story like this, you will need to get everything right for what actually happens to Kain for this part, for the FF4 fans. Just have a think about that :P

Anyone want to work on Laharl? Created this one 3 years ago. I'm not sure if I want to count this one as a valid submission because of its age. Nevertheless, feel free to improve it!

I don't know if looping movements are possible, so let's wait for someone knowledgeable about it.

The font looks really edgy. By edgy, I mean rough. There is no anti-aliasing present, and that makes it look bad. Try exporting original map names, and copy from them. For example, if you want an 'a' letter, export "Mandalia Plains" then copy the 'a' letter that image. Dunno if that'll work, but I guess it's worth a try. There's a proper way to insert texts (using TIMUTIL?), but i'm not familiar with it. Can't help you there.

@0:23 - Try to fix the font by taking letters from vanilla map names.
@0:39 - Test and Dancer should be closer to one another. Test in singing\casting\arms raised pose. Same goes to the other soldier talking to the 20 yr old woman, but less active. Also, have the child walk back and forth.
Cecil's walk speed is tolerable.
@0:53 - Sound is weird and noisy for movement. Kid sprite face Cecil. Dancer faces Cecil and moves away from screen.
@1:08 - The Chocobo and the man beside it should make a fade in walk appearance, instead of just standing right from the start.
@1:28 - I like this moment. :)
@1:31 - One squire from the squad should be animated here. I suggest jumping animation.
@1:51 - Cecil should move a bit here. I'd like a slashing animation for Cecil at this time, but it's your choice.

Tomorrow's my birthday, so this is something I'd like to show as a gift to me for my hard work.
I've been trying to learn Flash during the past few months, and here are some projects I've finished. These are my first few short works, so please go easy on me. Also, sorry for the poor video quality. Just view it in the typical youtube small screen size.





Should I think of making a game next?

Probably because that sprite base (Aloser) uses arm bases from different sprite types. What I mean is that, the gloves belong to a TYPE1 (Female Archer), and the cloak which covers the arms belong to a TYPE2 sprite (Ovelia). This means that the arms will be custom-made and will take a long time finish.
