What a nice Mathematician's Answer.

Actually, you can still remove Safeguard from Elmdore in both his fights, and the new ones in the Beowulf sidequest as well. And Zombie Algus too. All with the help of an editor.

Think you could manage to pull the Onion Knight set into the game? (I know, an impossibility since it can't be thrown like the weapons, but still.)

If it's true, you may be the first fully successful person to bring at least a part of the Multiplayer-exclusive items into Single Player.

Oh, and you're also working at the Safeguard problem. I'm doing that work too on an editor, I'm yet to test the patch against Elmdore in the Riovanes Roof fight.

Around April '17, I think you still were waiting for Xifanie to finish her side and she was active on it.

Given what I learned from Eternal when we were talking about his FFT hacks, I know there's a massive catch to adding the Multiplayer items due to very few people here being interested in hacking the PSP version due to the problems with the extra (And half-assed at that) coding added to it. So, what items did you have to remove to put those into the inventory?

Makes me think Idea Factory got inspired by Square Enix when they decided to port Spectral Souls II to the PSP.

Please tell me that after all this time (Over an year according to my profile) I've been away, Chapter 2's situation isn't the in the same spot as when I last visited.

Came around to check on Eternal, but I had to check here as well.

I'm starting to consider giving KO a try, been some time since I last put the PSX functions of my PS2 to work.

Nice to know that Elric is still on the fight. And yeah, I'm still waiting for Chapter 2.

I didn't know we had Hammers now as weapons for the game.

Meanwhile, my mind still itches for Chapter 2...

But certain terms like "Magick" and the such existed since Vagrant Story, which is also a part of the Ivalice Alliance.

One of the reasons for most people here hating WotL is what I mentioned above: crappy coding by Square.

Others include people hating the changes on names and dialogues, which makes the game more akin to Final Fantasy XII (which takes place on the same world, only some thousand years earlier) and its "ye olde talke". On this one (about hate due to dialogue changes), I can say that the Tactics Ogre remake gets some hate for the same reason, despite being damn better than the original on a lot of things.

Not to mention that the slowdown fix is already available to download in romhacking.net by itself.

As for this:
Multiplayer content: Eternal managed to implant some of it in WotL KO, but he had to replace items to do so. The way how the new content got into the game was done in a crappy way by Square Enix's part, due to them just slapping the PSX ISO into the PSP port and then adding content around it, made such a feat incredibly difficult. As of now, there is still no one able to crack into that content, especially because there is no way for the ones able to access the multiplayer content (though it is possible to access the new battles on WotL).

Extra characters: As far as I know, this is some heavy hacking job. It can be done as far as I know (not by me, of course), but I don't think you will find anyone willing to make this for the PSP version around here.

Count me along Mudvayne among the ones who will wait forever if need be to see your project being completed, Elric. You're almost halfway there, keep it up!

Ragnarok into Final Fantasy Tactics. Now that's an interesting idea. So, you intend to put RO1's Midgard into FFT?

For sprites, there is already a thread showing how to do this: http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=10141.msg206364;boardseen

Edit: Oh, you've already seen this.

For what I know, the problem with WotL hacking is with the PSP-exclusive content, at most. The PSP version is actually the PSX version slapped into the PSP with the new content added around it.

The other problem is that there's not many people here that would venture into the PSP version. Many fans of the original loathe the PSP version, and there are good reasons for this.

Man, I was worried sick about FFH now with that one.

Great thing Xif managed to fix things.

For what I did read there, there were need for some router configuration in there.

Okay, time for me to butt in.

I didn't test it yet, but PPSSPP 1.0 does use Coldbird's server to allow for multiplayer. I saw on PPSSPP.org about it, including instructions to make the multiplayer work, without Hamachi and the such.
