MAPTITLE.BIN editing tutorial

FFT originally uses its own font for MAPTITLE.BIN, so it's not really possible to edit individual Map titles so easily. Because Koko asked me about this for CoP I proposed to make the new MAPTITLE.BIN for his patch. I came up with a very close font to the original's, and make it very easily editable as it's simply text.

Anyway you should take a look for yourself...

You will need:

  • A .psd (Photoshop file format) editor

  • GraphicsGale

  • TIMUTIL.EXE

  • Hex Editor

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)

Tile mutilator?  I think I remember that from romhackingdotnet.  And I think GIMP can edit photoshop files.
