Okay, so i've successfully inserted a custom sprite into FFT: WotL!

However, I now want to change the color of the marshal to purple instead of red so it would look like SOLDIER from FF7.

How would I do this?

MysticKnightFF5

Zoom on the sprite.
Check the darkness difference in shade, and make the corresponding colors to those shades, then use the fill option.

If you want to recolor the sprite then you should use Graphics Gale.

If you do not have it, Download here: http://www.humanbalance.net/gale/us/download.html

When you open Graphics Gale, you will see a small window Labeled: Palette.
Find, and click, the color on the Palette you want to change.
There are some RGB sliders under the color choices.
Slide them around until you have the color you want.
Doing this will change every instance of that color on the sprite to the new color you want.

And that should do it.

Save the sprite and you're good.

Sounds easy enough, but you can't open a .spr file in graphics gale

so would i use .bmp file?  how would i change it back into a .spr file when i change the color of it?

Thanks for the help btw, i appreciate it!

Yeah, Shishi's has the ability to import and export both spr's and bmp's. So you'd just export the sprite as a bmp, recolor it in GraphicsGale, and re-import the recolored bmp file
Move Zig. For great Justice.

Also, Algus sucks up to level 5 donkey balls.
