The VGM Tourney only has about a week left on it, so I decided to setup registration for the next music battles, which the theme will be 80's music. I'm mostly starting registration early because I know a lot of people are going to have trouble finding which songs they pick, so this will give them time. :D

Rules:

-Registration is due January 20th.
-People may submit up to two songs.
-Each song may only be submitted once- no repeats.
-No remixes.
-Each song must have been released from 1980-1989.
-There will be a max of 32 entrants.
-Each fight is single elimination.
-Songs will be randomly chosen to "fight" each other.
-Post a Youtube video with the song you wish to submit.
-Post the band who made the song.
-Not really necessary, but post next to the song title the year the song was released. If you don't know, Wikipedia is your friend!

So, without further adieu, I submit:

Mad World (Tears for Fears, 1982)

Sweet Child o' Mine (Guns and Roses, 1988)

Have fun picking!~

Blind Guardian - Gandalf's Rebirth (1988)

Uriah Heep - the Wizard (1988)
<JoZ> I'm not Wiz. Even if I were, I wouldn't be narcissistic enough to go under an alt and comment on my own team.

George Strait - All My Ex's Live In Texas (1987) - Basically, dammit, there needs to be at least a token country song on this damned thing. And the classic "I've got friends in low places" was 1990 -_-)

Honorable mentions are Madonna's "Like a Prayer", The Cure's "Just Like Heaven", Phil Collin's "In the Air Tonight", and then anything off Peter Gabriel's album "So" or REM's "Green".
Just another rebel plotting rebellion.

Eternal

Phil wins for All My Ex's. It's secretly my favorite song on GTA: SA. =x

The destruction of the will is the rape of the mind.
The dogmas of every era are nothing but the fantasies of those in power; their dreams are our waking nightmares.

Eternal

It doesn't really have to be a band. It can be a single singer, too.

also (just for fun) 'Poison Arrows' from the same album 'Discovery'
I think these two pop songs are sung by Barry Palmer.

or King Crimson 'Three of a Perfect Pair' of the same year:
