Well I am changing my facebook profile pic, maybe it would be fun to do it here also.

If not, below tell us your favorite pokemon!!

philsov

My "elite 6" pokemon, which I perfected for my Red game and later imported into... Gold?  Silver?

Flareon - Ashes - Providing Fire elemental, also picked up an HM to nab a... poison skill I believe.  Decent attack
Scyther - Bashes - Knew Sand Attack, Mirror Image, Sword Dance, and... some physical skill.  It was a glorious combo -- ramp up your evasion, destroy their accuracy, massively buff up your attack, and then slaughter enemy after enemy after enemy
Gregnar - Hypnosis + Dream Eater is just awesome.  Also had another Psychic move
Dragonite - Puff - HYPER BEAMZ0R
Blastoise - for all my water and ice needs
Jolteon - nabs me my paralyze and lightning attacks, but also had a... ground attack?

or something to that effect

Either way, I had the majority of attack types (I lacked grass) and some of the pokemon had abilities that killed the types that killed it.  Mewtwo and the legendary birds are for punks.

Of these my favorite is probably my Flareon <3
Just another rebel plotting rebellion.

Mewtwo was still badass regardless of how you use him...he was a bad ass in pokemon stadium...unless...oh wait! Use Mr.Mime against him then just status the crap out of him :)

You dare cross blades with me?

Wiz

He's still broken if you give him amnesia though since special in 1st gen was Sp.Attack and Sp.Def as the same stat. I'd argue Mew's broken as well since it can learn soft-boiled (more PP than Recover, but also any move actually) and it's base stats are above average.

Vigilanti

I've always liked Articuno :) its my favorite legendary bird pokemon ever

Zuka

Mewtwo can one shot nearly anything with nearly any attack if maxed out, I liked using Ice Beam (more PP than blizzard with a comparable freeze rate) Psychic (Stab bonus) recover, just incase, and Earthquake for sheer power's sake.

But my favorite pokemon is a new one, Rayquaza, he's about as strong as mewtwo in stats however with much higher HP and dragon type, giving him a lot less vulnerability than a pure psychic in the newer generations. Not to mention he learns crunch naturally which will one shot 'ol mewtwo there at equal levels.

Aquilae

My favorite from way back in Blue was Kabutops, because it looked really badass. Scythes for arms!!!11

Anyway, Rayquaza can't OHKO Mewtwo with Crunch, unless it runs a Life Orb. A Rayquaza without an attack boosting item and having max attack + Adamant does only 66% - 72% to Mewtwo with Crunch, with Life Orb it does 86% - 101% to Mewtwo, which is about a 1/15 chance of OHKOing Mewtwo. A -Def nature for Mewtwo in conjunction with Life Orb is the only way to ensure a reliable OHKO of Mewtwo assuming SR is in play, since Mewtwo's 106 HP / 90 Def is very bulky and Rayquaza doesn't get STAB on Crunch. Furthermore, Mewtwo is faster than Rayquaza and will almost always go first unless Mewtwo has no Speed EVs while Rayquaza has max Speed EVs and a +Speed nature. With Adamant or a similar +Attack nature a neutral non-EV'd Mewtwo will still outspeed it. Most Mewtwo sets run Ice Beam, barring that Selfdestruct, thus Rayquaza will not win againt Mewtwo.

Also, Rayquaza has more weaknesses than Mewtwo. Dragon / Flying makes it weak to Ice, Dragon and Rock. It takes 25% damage from Stealth Rock and Ice Beam is very common in Ubers. Mewtwo only has a weakness to Dark and Bug, which are relatively uncommon. Rayquaza has a harder time surviving as it has a lower base speed, a Stealth Rock weakness and a weakness to two of the most common attacking types in Ubers, Dragon and Ice.
