To clarify pokemon stat growth for Arch

All pokemon stats are determined by the following equation,

 Stat in status screen = (( BaseStat * 2 + IV + EV/4 ) * Level/100 + 5 ) * P

IV = individual value, a random number between 1 and 32 determined when the pokemon appears and cannot be changed thereafter

EV = Effort value, basically stat specific exp gained by battling in addition to regular exp, can also be gained via stat-boosting drugs, total EV points are capped at 510 distributed among all stats, and no more then 255 applied to any single stat

P = Personality, in the newest games, pokemon also have a random personality assigned, some of which alter their stats (+10% in one stat in exchange for -10% in another)

So, since most of these values are static and determined at pokemon creation, stats don't "grow" so much as they are "recalculated" whenever one of those variables change

But it's very possible
I usually breed pokemons until I get very good IV

I got a 29/31/31/x/29/31 Garchomp after like 100 eggs

Nerds like us usually do that
It's like FFT 1.3 and the DD
To complete the game you don't need to get the best IV and the right nature
But if you want to fight at high levels, you NEED to do that

Also, ubers are banned cause they just play unfair

with 32 IV on everything and best possible stats + stat boosters + choice scarf

and some gay ass leech seed + sharp rock thingy + lightcreen + sleep lock strat

Remember Arch that there is no "Best pokemon"
Even ubers can be defeated by "Never used" depending on the team, support, situation, and luck
A pokemon can only have 4 moves, and so can't counter/damage well everything

I've seen enough pokemon tournaments on yt to know that the metagame is complex and that there is no 1 perfect setup

How EVs work
Spend all day murdering pikachus and giggling madly to yourself
your pokemon will now have a far superior speed stat to those that DIDNT murder pikachu all day long

Now spend all day murdering gyrados cause youre a badass
your pokemon will now have a kick ass attack stat

Now go fight a little kid who uses a rattata and get your ass handed to you, cause joey's rattata is in the top fucking percentage of rattata

Actually, it is impossible to get a pokemon with 31 IV in all stats without breeding. People have reversed engineered the game and know the mechanics and the RNG. So no legendaries with 31/31/31/31/31/31 for you!
