Why is the black outline so dark on the last two sprites? Is that custom or was that something from in-game? Before you go any further, you should fix that. Also, the male Priest's hair fit the character (or the little I know about him) very well, in my opinion, though this hairstyle doesn't look bad either.

I'm perfectly ok with either hairstyle. the first says "I'm an apprentice" which is what he is. the other says "I'm an important main character" which he also is.

The black outline is directly out of the Black Ninja color. I think the priest hairstyle did work for the first design, but not so much the second design. Perhaps I will look for a middle-of-the-road hairstyle. I'm thinking maybe Archerish.

As for D: The cape color? What did you have in mind?

EDIT: I've experimented with combining a knight's hairstyle with that of the 20yr old man, and it didn't work so well. I think that the choice boils down to whether you want him to look meek and inexperienced, or more robust. I'll try one more thing with his hair.

Not sure about any particular color, i just feel D's pallete should be darker overall compared to the lead characters.

Not bad imo, but the darkest black looks too dark, unless you did not change that at all...but you must have...it is just too dark...

What you're probably noticing is the fact that I changed to color of his shoes but I didn't change the outline color of them. I'll have to find another color for the shoe outline. Other than that, I just copied colors over from the black ninja.

Ah, you have a lot of browns, in the shoes, the belt and the hair. Perhaps you could change the gauntlets color by downtoning the brown by 1 on the browness scale when you got all the browns lined up (I hope this makes sense...)and use that darkest brown color as outlines...just an idea...

The hair actually looks alright, though the angle of the face no longer matches up with the angle of the hair. If you can fix the angle of the face, you may be on your way.

I don't know what you're talking about or how I'd go about that. I think it actually looks okay, though I did freehand a fair bit of it.

Izlude's hair was designed for a head that was facing a completely different angle than Kletian's. What I was saying is that you should have used Izlude's face, rather than Kletian's. Now that I'm looking a the portrait more closely, I think it looks fine. You can move on to changing the eyes, mouth, skin tone, and clothes.

I really like how this sprite is coming together.  the portrait needs some work, though I can see where youre going with it. the sprite looks pretty much set as is though

I decided to fuck around with the portrait. I've attached the messy result. I took the portrait from earlier and just shifted stuff around, drew nonsense, and basically crapped out this thing. The eyes need fixing, the portrait is about three pixels too short, and something looks off (methinks it's the eyes). Feel free to criticize, modify, or disregard it.

Very nice mav. Well, the only thing I would complain is that Izlude hair. Its not really working, not angled enough unless that's what you want him to look.
