Yea. Asmo crits really really really helps alot.
Although Asmo directly CRITS, which is sometimes a pain in the ass BUT that's what makes improvements thoroughly from the progresses updated. When there's critiques, there's improvements and if can't take the critiques, then there won't have any improvements.
And if Asmo didn't crit, I can say that the improvements won't be as much as when Asmo crits. ^^

Asmo is one of my favorite posters >.> Gets down to the point so that you know what's wrong and where to go. He's also quick to note when you do something right, so he's not trolling.

Same thing Voldemort did with me on the Iron Giant sprite.

Quote from: "SilvasRuin"At least he's an honest asshole.  His comments really tend to be helpful when people make the improvements he suggests.

the asshole comment was a joke

I know Asmo's comments are more helpful than anyone else's, he worked with me very closely when 1.3 first started

It's the people who bitch about his comments instead of making useful comments of their own that I think are the real assholes

Hey guys please try to stay with the topic. :)
I did like Asmo's critisms, too, eventhough he speaks rudely sometimes.

Quote from: "Asmo X"Did you make the thighs yourself? Try copy/pasting from another sprite. The shading is a little haphazard

Agreed.

I don't do anything that others can't. You guys have to realise every time you don't say EXACTLY what you think of a sprite or whatever, you're leading the person on in some way. If you've ever not said something because you were worried about feelings or being harsh you are guilty of this. Trust me, the person is going to feel a thousand times better when they make something good and gets lots of praise than if you give lukewarm praise for a thing that doesn't really deserve it. Kage is the perfect example. He was getting partial compliments and incomplete criticism for pretty sub-par sprites that he then lost interest in. He then changes his technique to exactly what he should be doing, makes a good sprite, gets tons of praise and now seems more motivated. If you aren't honest from the start you prevent this from ever happening.

I have to agree with asmo here on his statement...as long as its not some 2 bit insult then yes...critisizm harsh or not is still critisizm and often can motivate one to do better.

For generic thighs, I suggest Algus or Elmdor.

Bloodthirster thats smash's armour right? You should probably follow his design more closely. The armour on the front view is out of position when compared to the diagonal. You need to shave some of those gold pixels off of either side on the lower part of the armour so its more in line with Smash's. Also, the far side of the lower part of the armour on the diagonal view looks like it dips down or something. I know you're using the same shading as he did on that part but he can get away with using that brown because the pixels above and below are as dark so your eye isn't drawn to it as being part of the armour. There are also a couple of stray pixels above the boots on the thighs that probably shouldn't be there.

Yeah. The armor (by Smash), as always, looking great but like Zozma suggested, with if add a cape in?
White cape, perhaps like that picture Cheetah posted? ^^
Anyway, both are looking great.
