Ideas for a game over screen huh?

The idea of Rad and Ramza [& Gaf] lying around a battlefield KO'd seems fine to me. Unless you have a problem with a picture of them riddled with arrow holes and missing limbs.

Maybe something with Alma alone and crying?

Oh, an interesting idea! Alma's role is... slightly underplayed in Mercenaries, but this is a way to bring her back basically into the forefront, that's a great idea!

Also, should we change the first splash intro screen of the game?
(Like in FFT v1.3, The SCEA is changed)

Well yes, it is actually planned, but I really would like to keep the "SCEA" part, removing that just feels... wrong to me.

The name for the first chapter hasn't been confirmed yet, so we can hold off on that, as far as things go.

Mission Failed, hmm? That doesn't sound a bad idea, it seems much more fitting in with the theme of Mercenaries.

Well no "Mission Failed" is used in a lot of things, FFT even calls its battles "Missions".

A fully reworked version..
I wanted to redeem myself somehow.
I will now post the title screens in this thread.
(for relevance)







changes:
-added the old Agrias and Gaffy image
-tweaked the Ivalice map (sharpened a bit, 1st chapter)
-border made similar to WotL
-recolored "Mercenaries" text to look more FF-styled
-added some inspiration

this should be release 5, version 3. :P
Comments and Critisms will be fully appreciated and
will be taken into consideration. Thanks.

Spiffy. Although I think the eye on the one on the right needs to be brought in line with the others. Their eyes are more subdued and realistic whereas the one on the right has a crazy giant anime eye. Other than that I think this is quite awesome.

We can barely see the details, especially with Gaffy. Try sharpening it up a bit.

How about lowering the luminosity of the gradient's top color? It seems too light compared to the other one; you may have to do this for "MERCENARIES" too. This would also help revealing gaffy's hair details. I'm not sure about the white "border", I'm pretty sure it could use some work because right now I don't feel it blends that much into the world map background.
; And the giant anime eye again.

Nonetheless this is going to look fantastic

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)

Looks good with the map background--though I still think the lightest color on the gradient should be on the bottom, but whatever. Great job you two.
