Plans for new sprites, whats everyone working on?

Well this is my first time ever making a sprite, it's ichigo from the hit anime bleach, let me know what you think, and "constructive" critisism is welcome ^_^

Looks like a good start. I would have to see more angles though, it is hard to judge from a front view only for a mostly isometric sprite.

lol thats al i have done so far >_< lol that took me like 10 min. to make >_< it's so much more work then I thought, especially since he is a mixture of like 4 diffrent chars from fft and there is some actuall free style in there too >_< lol I'll try to up as soon as I'm finished though

Well...his head keeps changing shape. In the first frame it is shrunk, then the back of his head disappears, then his ears are moving around. This is an easy fix though, I'm just not sure how it came about. The general design and color scheme seem pretty good. Just maybe working on keeping it consistent through all angles.

Thanks cheetah, lol to be honest, I couldn't get the face right each angle I think thats what ultimatly made me mess up so much >_<

thank you agrias for donating your arms after ramza cut them off of miluda. <3

btw why not copy the entire monk head so you have the size right?

idk, thats a good idea zozma but the head band really makes it difficult since it will look like a ton of hair.

But I'll give it a shot just to see how it turns out, other then the face, though, what do you think of my first sprite attempt?

its nice, but just remember when making a sprite to plan ahead... see how i already have all the arms made for my miluda sprite because they are just recolors of agrias' arms? debugging the arms (at least for me) is by far the most time you spend on a sprite. on some projects i gave up because the arms were just too much lol...

lol ya I see what you mean, just to make sure; debugging is a form of freestyling right? I have to say the hardest part for me is the head in total, as it is basically all made up, I take little bits of like three diffrent chars. and edit the hair color as I see fit, and well you can only do so much with paint XD

but I'm just about done with the rest of the sheet though

its much easier to take the bandanna off of 5 directions of the head, than to have to manually draw it in and make sure the size is the same. use what already exists and tweek it to look how you want. just like making portraits.

I gave up on magnus, the sash was just too hard. And his freakin' hair was hard too.

it just occurred to me (for those of you who've played tactics ogre for the snes/psx) theres a female character Ozma this miluda sprite can be recolored to make her character too. only the game doesnt have whips for weapons.

alright! just hammering out the bugs and i've got my Cross Knight, Miluda.

(yes her hair is very blond! i made it match her brother's)
shes gonna be a freak of a fighter in a third fight with her when i finally start working on my own patch. 2 swords/knight swords innate weaponguard [unless i can't stack a counter with a defense reaction ability then it will be hamedo], holysword+darksword skills plus a few customs..

whoa thats awesome!! i always wanted to have a jacked up milluda, Teta, and weigraf for a like "Back from the dead battle "  i dont know its an idea

and about stacking reactions i think it is possible i stacked support abillities like i had 2 Halve Mp's and it worked it made the mp 1/4 of what it used to be :D

well i heard reaction abilities don't stack.. but i'm hoping that a reaction ability that counters (like hamedo), and then one that defends (like weapon guard) can stack because i want her job to have innate 2 swords + innate weapon guard (since she wont equip shields)

then i call the job Cross Knight, after the class the main character of bahamut lagoon had lol he used 2 swords as well but wasn't a ninja just like this. plus its also a 'cross' between holy knight and dark knight...

hmm so support can stack, so if i made teta's job's first two innate support abilities 1/2 mp or short charge then either of them would take a quarter of mp OR ct? thats wicked.

@Zozma: your new Miluda looks great. I think I want to use it myself. And, please let us know if that reaction ability experiment works! =)
