Agreed. Speaking of brutal, RM7 FC Remake is no joke. I've gotten a game over twice in a row fighting Burst Man!! I've started doing the translation! =)

So FFIV is pretty freaking sweet so far. The fact *minor spoiler* that your party keeps changing all the time is a little odd, but I probably just not that far into the game yet *end minor spoiler*. The battle system is pretty good, but the story, voice work, and surprisingly the mini games are all really capturing my attention.

One Piece Unlimited Cruise is turning out to not be all that great. Basically the same game, with one new playable character. They are artificially extending the longevity of the game by making you replay it in multiple difficulty settings to unlock anything. It is still fun but I am having trouble imagining why I would replay it again regardless of how good the new content might turn out to be. Basically any game that makes you redo long tedious things just to open new content as a crutch to extend play time is a waste of my fucking time.

From the mention of the mini-games & voice acting I'd say he's playing DS one. The story of FF4 has always been the best in the series & I can only hope that they port the sequel to a US system & maybe give it the same treatment as FF4ds. I've been reading up on FF4:the After & it is epic! Even uses an upgraded version of the original FF4 16-bit engine.=)

WTF how did I never hear of this. It sounds awesome. Frankly if they are using a similar engine and graphics as the SNES version I'm pretty sure someone could just pretty much reproduce it....

Oh and I was definitely refering to the DS version of FFIV

It's being released in a new phone format soon. Hopefully it's a format that can be emulated. I'd love for Square to just port it to DS and/or PSP, though.

They haven't done that with Crisis Core though, and I haven't found any information on getting that emulated or translated either.

Yeah. It starts before Crisis Core, ends afterwords, and you play as the Turks.

I must concur on FFIV DS. FFIV is one of my favorite FF's and the DS version may be the best yet. Augments are just great and put an interesting spin on the battle system.

Draw Attacks + Counter + Cecil = Wins against most minor enemies.

I'm considering cheating to get the Onion Equipment and the Adamant Armor though. The chances that enemies drop the Tails are just too damn low.

Over 100 battles and all have to show for it is one Pink Tail...

Well Voldemort's playthrough of Vagrant Story has finally got me motivated to finish my own playthrough of it. Freaking awesome game and I think I am finally further into the game then I have ever been before whoot. But I just spent about an hour wandering through the forest and beating a really tough boss, and then my game crashed on my psp . So now I have to redo it, hopefully it doesn't crash again or I must just have to kill someone...

Still playing a bit of FFIV. Though the boss battles in that game drive me nuts. They are basically trial and error to find the right strategy, so you almost always loose the first time if you don't know what you are up against, but they put all these cut scenes in between and doing multiple hard battles in a row. So that fucking pisses me off and I just got owned big time so I'm pissed about that. It is still good though.

Anyone playing the Dragon Quest remake on DS?
