Yes

It comes at a constant rate.

jimmyjw: Yep.

EDIT: Dammit, I should do other stuff besides FFT spriting. It has taken now like 2 pages of my photobucket.
Maybe a pixelart, or some shit for my Mario proyect.

The bangaa looks great, Smash.
Once you're done, I may have to take a shot at using it as a base for Ba'Gamnan.

After all, we already have Balthier.
We will build cities in a day, we will build towers to the heavens. We will be heroes.
This sleeping city doesn't know what's coming. She doesn't feel the heat.
Even when the darkness surrounds us, we shall light up the night.

The bangaa is simply amazing and will be incredible when you finish it, the whole idea of making a base to build off of is exceptional. I think I have an idea for your head and ear "problem". Have the head swagger and swing some. This would make the bangaa look less human, more menacing, more unique, and would be a major challenge. The only downside is that it would make him much harder to edit because you wouldn't be using the same basic head on every frame. But it is definitely worth experimenting with.

You are definitely taking on a lot of projects, but when you can sprite like a fucking mad man who wouldn't haha. I would recommend giving other spriters here more toys/tools/bases to work off to cut down on your requests. Like make a couple unique heads, and leave it up to others to see what they can come up with by putting them on different bases. Just a thought, not sure it is a good one.

Oh and the Sephiroth sprite did look a lot better once it wasn't on a white background.

Hm..

Could you mean that idle stance they have in 12, when you find them traipsing around in the desert?
Why, I never thought of that.

On your other suggestion, I was thinking of making a spriting tutorial on how to make mugs from scratch, as well as a general spriting tut or something. Also, giving off clean bases and armsets for sprites could be a huge possibility, given the fact that I already have alot of them lying around.

The idle stance thing sounds good.
I always found that it made them very unique.

I can't picture the idle stance right now, but I'm sure that is what I am thinking of. They always just present as shifty and restless like slithering while walking. I knew you would like the idea Smash.

Great ideas Smash. Your skills in spriting are very well respected here and we need someone with your experience to help the community move forward as a whole. Already you are teaching us simply by showing your process in your previews.

Yeah it is going to be tough finding a good fit. I would recommend having the Bangaa's head tilted down so you get more of the snout in the frame. I'm curious how the eye will turn out as well.

No worries, I'll make multiple mugs of this bangaa, with diferent poses, in order to make it edit-friendly. The same, edited mug for different bangaas wouldn't look good, imo.

Started shading on the initial concept.

For some reason, this reminds me of mugs those of the likes of monsters.

Vanya: Im using FF12 as a ref.  :)

having the mug look more like a monsters is a good thing imo. it still gives it an FFT feel opposed to something unfamiliar

I like how the mug looks so far! Mind if I use the existing diagonal still frame to try and start on Ba'Gamnan?
