Hi everyone, I'm new in FFH. Well, I'm making a project to change the story of the game, but I need to know some things to do it:

1. How to compile the event.txt file. When I use the Event Compiler, this error message appears:

"Access violation at address 00404752 in module 'Event_Compiler_2.01b.exe'. Read of address FA373222."

2. How to edit the spell quotes.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Found out how to edit spell quotes.

Not sure about 1, haven't used that program much myself yet, but editing spell quotes will be in a TacText update, if not the next then soon I'd imagine. Last time I heard melon had figured out where the quotes were and shit, it just needed to be implemented into the program.

Thanks for the reply, but I found how to modify the spell messages in SPELL.MES using WindHex and a tbl file. It's simple to edit, but it would be easier in FFTacText.  :)

Cool avatar Lord Jafud :D

Sorry, that's all I can provide lol
I refuse to play Final Fantasy Tactics again until I am able to do my FF6 patch! And, FFT 1.3 doesn't technically count as FFT: so there!

Are you sure the Compiler is not ''archive only'' ''read only'', or any of that crap ?

Anyway, nice to see that you can do a lot by yourself. If you ever need simple tips on event editing, drop by the IRC.
I keep leaving, I keep coming back. Boomerang boy.

mmm I'm not exactly sure...
you need TEST.EVT in the same folder as well as CONFIG.INI.
If you have both you may have to check your CONFIG.INI settings.

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)
