From what little I know of Kaze, Vincent would be an appropriate base in more ways than one.  I've never actually watched the show, but I've seen him use his magic gun and seen him.  I can't help but wonder if Cerberus was at least partially based on his gun.  (If I remember correctly, the magic gun artifact is or contains a reference to his gun.)

You could reverse what I said earlier, wait for the Llednar sprite to be finished, and then someone could make a few edits to that and turn the red to blue.  They look similar enough to me.  Llednar just has a fancier (and red) outfit.

That's the problem . Hence it would be wiser to use either FFTA's look or FFV's look (I don't like the latter much, though).

Fair enough.  Actually, that's probably a good idea.  Don't FFXI's Blue Mages and FFTA's Ninjas look a whole heck of a lot alike?  Hm... Nope, I'm changing my mind again.  From a second glance, the only issue with the similar appearance are their face masks.  An alternative ninja head accompanying the blue mage into a patch should solve that.  It could be made to look different enough, right?

I also would like a Jack Sparrow sprite, since it could then easily become a generic Corsair. This game is severely lacking in pirates, and I've been making tons of pics involving the boat from Warjilis. Somebody give me a goddamn pirate.

Have you not seen the movies?!  Will was most definitely supposed to be the leading man. Depp is just that good mate.

With the right dialogue he could definitely become the main character of FFT even though you get him in chapter 4.
